DOHA, Qatar—During Olivier Giroud’s most frustrating days at Arsenal, back when his shots seemed to hit every part of the stadium but the goal, manager Arsène Wenger took him aside at practice one day to ask a question.
Giroud, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound French forward, was doing a good job of getting himself into the penalty area, Wenger told him.
