The two sides met at City’s Etihad Stadium on Sunday with both teams eager to strike first in this year’s title race. Just before half-time, Arsenal attacker Leandro Trossard committed a foul before kicking the ball across the pitch, earning a controversial second yellow card. Matt West/ShutterstockAfter being reduced to 10 players, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta adopted a highly defensive shape to try and protect the lead. “I think the win belongs to the players and for our fans,” Fonseca said after the game. A chaotic first half saw visiting Wolfsburg take a 3-2 lead before Piero Hincapié leveled things up shortly after half-time.

Erik Menendez is slamming Netflix’s show “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,” based on the 1989 murder of Jose and Kitty Menendez, as “awful lies” and a “horrible narrative,” in a statement shared by his wife, Tammi Menendez. Tammi Menendez, who married Erik Menendez in 1999, posted what she labeled as "Erik's response to the Netflix's series" to X on Sept. 19, the day “Monsters” dropped on the streaming platform. “The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” is the second season in the Ryan Murphy’s “Monster” anthology, which started with a series on Jeffrey Dahmer. Joseph “Lyle” Menendez, now 56, and Erik Menendez, now 53, were convicted of the murders in 1996 after two trials. Russian intelligence services are building up their presence in Mexico for spy operations targeting the United States, a return to Cold War tactics by an increasingly aggressive regime, according to U.S. officials and former intelligence officers. The Mexican Embassy and the Russian Embassy did not respond to a request for comment. “Part of this is a function of the fact that so many Russian intelligence officers have been kicked out of Europe. Those are Russian intelligence personnel, and they keep an eye very closely on their opportunities to have influence on U.S. opportunities and access,” VanHerck said. Russian intelligence could conceivably also take advantage of Mexico’s proximity to target Putin’s political enemies inside the U.S., former intelligence officers said.

AdvertisementA power pendulum is constantly swinging back and forth between employers and employees, guided by market forces and an ever-changing economy. Other times, employers have the power to set workplace norms, and workers are better off keeping their heads down. The cyclical nature of shifting workplace power does swing back and forth between employers and employees, but not automatically. The Fed cut interest rates in its September meeting, which is the first cut in years. Experts say not to rush to action with your cash savings — but start doing some research. But, the Fed finally cut interest rates by 50 basis points at its meeting on September 18 — the first rate cut since March 2020. This is true now, but it will be just as true if the Fed continues to drop the federal funds rate in the future. However, interest rate increases could lead to having to sell the note on the secondary market at a loss.

An initial DNA test on remains believed to be those of Joseph Couch, the suspect in the Interstate 75 shootings, was inconclusive, but an autopsy confirmed the cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound, state officials said. The soft tissue DNA test was “inconclusive due to extreme decomposition of the body,” and a further DNA test with material extracted from bone will be completed, the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet said in a news release. The remains were found in deep brush by a highway exit in Laurel County, which is where London is and where the shootings occurred, state officials said. A couple livestreaming the search for Couch's body helped in the effort and the discovery, state police said. The DNA test from bone is expected to begin Friday and take 24 to 48 hours, the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet said.

Surveys indicate that health care is among the top priorities for voters in the November presidential election. Former President Donald Trump has given little detail about his health care vision; his running mate, JD Vance, has suggested deregulation. Each country was graded on five categories: access to care, care process, administrative efficiency, equity and health outcomes. “For far too many people, high-quality medical care is out of reach.”Dr. Adam Gaffney, a critical care physician at the Cambridge Health Alliance in Massachusetts, pointed out that the U.S. differs from the other countries in one critical area: universal health care coverage.
