On Thursday, a new music video of Vandross’ rendition of “Michelle” is set to debut on YouTube. This discovery adds to a catalog of musical milestones that solidified Vandross as an R&B genre-defining artist. The Beatles’ “Michelle,” written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, won the Grammy for song of the year in 1967. Vande Kolk said Thursday. Borgwardt told investigators that he thought they would stop searching for him after about two weeks, officials said. He chose Green Lake, in part, because it is the deepest natural lake in Wisconsin. Dollar stores companies were some best performing stocks in the S&P 500 during the Great Recession, said Piper Sandler managing director Peter Keith. Shares of Dollar Tree — which owns its namesake brand and Family Dollar — and Dollar General have both fallen roughly 50% this year. Lower income Americans, who comprise about 60% of Dollar General sales, are under more pressure to stretch their dollars in the face of high inflation. In its fiscal 2024 second quarter earnings call, Dollar General said those customers are also more reliant on online storefronts, which dollar stores have had less success in rolling out. Both Dollar Tree and Dollar General have also faced numerous worker safety violations over the past decade.

If you're looking for a career that pays well, doesn't require a bachelor's degree and offers strong job security, you might want to consider a job in the skilled trades. Close to a third (35%) of the fastest-growing jobs in the U.S. are in the skilled trades, with more than 1.5 million new jobs expected between now and 2032, according to the latest numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. "As people continue to search for higher-paying jobs with low barriers to entry, blue-collar jobs have had a resurgence in interest — especially among Gen Z," he added. Though many blue-collar jobs don't require a four-year degree, most roles require certifications, licensing and, in some cases, extensive on-the-job training. The man accused of murdering four University of Idaho students two years ago may be punished with the death penalty if he is convicted, the trial judge has ruled. Idaho's alternative to the death penalty for a first-degree murder conviction is life in prison with at least 10 years served before becoming eligible for parole. A jury ordered former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger to pay $98 million after finding that she used excessive force in the fatal shooting of Botham Jean in his home six years ago. The jury found that Guyger acted with "malice, willfulness, or callous and reckless indifference" to Jean's safety and rights and awarded his family $60 million in punitive damages, a verdict form shows. The jury awarded an additional $38 million in compensatory damages for mental anguish, loss of earnings and other claims, the document shows. A homeless Florida man was arrested Wednesday and charged with plotting to bomb the New York Stock Exchange to force a "reboot" or "reset" of the U.S. government, according to a criminal complaint. Yener told agents at the time that he was creating “rockets” with very “volatile” chemical mixtures that would explode if they were mixed incorrectly, the complaint says. Undercover FBI agents later made contact with Yener and convinced him they wanted to help him carry out an attack, it says. “There is one place that would be hella easy...the stock exchange, that would be a great hit," Yener said, according to the complaint. So that’s perfect.”Days later, he told a group of undercover FBI agents that he wanted to bomb the stock exchange the week before Thanksgiving.
