CINCINNATI (AP) — The Cincinnati Bengals showed a national TV audience on Sunday night they are still serious AFC playoff contenders. The latest was a 24-18 victory over the Buffalo Bills in a rematch of a divisional playoff game from last season. Joe Burrow threw for a season-high 348 yards and two touchdowns, and Cincinnati's defense forced two turnovers and held off the Bills. The subsequent Bengals drive ate up 5:20 and a 20-yard field goal by Evan McPherson extended Cincinnati's lead to 24-10. Aided by a roughing the passer call on the Bills' Tim Settle, Burrow put together another extended drive.

A decade later, Trump's failed Bills bid is one of the business moves under scrutiny in the trial of a lawsuit brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James. In offering to buy the Bills, Trump cited his net worth as $8 billion in an initial offer letter but never provided his financial statements. Throughout the sale process, Cohen insisted Trump was serious about his bid and his commitment to keeping the Bills in Buffalo. “There’s nobody more serious than Donald Trump,” Cohen said in an interview with The Associated Press in 2014. Trump told the AP in 2016 that had he been able to buy the Bills, it’s unlikely that he would've run for president.

[1/60] Oct 26, 2023; Orchard Park, New York, USA; Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs warms up before a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Highmark Stadium. Mayfield threw for 237 yards and two TDs on 25-for-42 passing for Tampa Bay, which has lost three straight. Tampa Bay erased a 10-point deficit in a span of 54 seconds in the second quarter. But Allen capped the Bills' next drive with a 22-yard scoring strike to Dalton Kincaid to send Buffalo into the break up 17-10. The Bills added on with 10:40 left in the third quarter, as Allen tossed a 4-yard TD to Davis.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Josh Allen threw two touchdown passes and ran for another — shrugging off aggravating an injury to his throwing shoulder — and the Buffalo Bills hung on to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-18 on Thursday night. After a week of questions about his “low-energy” approach and Buffalo's slow-starting offense, Allen came through for the Bills (5-3), throwing for 324 yards on 31-of-40 passing. Buffalo’s defense limited the Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield-led attack to less than 200 yards of offense through three quarters and 302 overall. But it took Tampa Bay 17 plays and 7:21 to march 92 yards for that score. Allen took advantage, topping 300 yards for the 23rd time in his career.

October 26 - It hasn't been a bad start to the season for the New Jersey Devils. The starts to games, however, are another story, and one they'll look to rewrite when they host the Buffalo Sabres on Friday in Newark, N.J. The Devils have been outscored 8-2 in the first period through their six games this season. Sabres coach Don Granato tinkered with his lines last week, putting Thompson between Dylan Cozens and Jordan Greenway. Ken Burns says he has been thinking about the American buffalo all of his life: “It may be the most important mammal in the history of the United States.” He explains that this “magnificent” yet beleaguered animal, which roamed the Great Plains in the tens of millions less than 200 years ago, has often stalked the background of his films—figuratively and literally—during his career as a documentarian of Americana. “The buffalo intersects with all these interesting parts of American history,” he says, which is why he’s been plotting a project about its fate for nearly 40 years. But he’s glad that he waited. Time, he says, has helped him to better understand the nuances of what he calls an “epic American calamity.”

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Deion Sanders doesn’t want anyone sleeping on what's happening with his reconstructed Colorado Buffaloes. Who wants to stay up until 8 o'clock for a darn game?” Sanders said on his weekly radio show. When the Buffaloes (4-2, 1-2 Pac-12) played Colorado State on Sept. 16 — kickoff was at 8:21 p.m. Mountain — the game didn’t finish until 12:25 a.m. One thing Sanders is a fan of: Stanford (1-4, 0-3) and first-year Cardinal coach Troy Taylor. Colorado boasts five of the eight top-watched college football games this season in terms of viewership, according to research provided from the school.
