Workers at Walgreens and CVS have previously staged walkouts in Arizona, Washington, Massachusetts and Oregon in September and early October. A spokesperson from the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) told CNN on Sunday that it supports the organizers planning a walkout and protests. The Service Employees International Union-United Healthcare Workers West, a California-based healthcare union, also said it supports the walkout and protests. “UFCW members and staff have been communicating with many of the CVS and Walgreens workers who have been taking actions to stand up for their rights on the job.

CVS and Walgreens pharmacy staff begin 3-day walkout

Walgreens and CVS employees are mostly not unionized, which makes a largescale walkout difficult to execute. Workers at Walgreens and CVS have previously staged walkouts in Arizona, Washington, Massachusetts and Oregon in September and early October. During prior walkouts, pharmacy staff feared retaliation from their bosses and corporate leadership, said Jerominski. A spokesperson from the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) told CNN on Sunday that it supports the organizers planning a walkout and protests. “UFCW members and staff have been communicating with many of the CVS and Walgreens workers who have been taking actions to stand up for their rights on the job.

Selker said that because soft skills can be observed, they can be measured, even if somewhat subjectively. Measuring soft skills can then become more like evaluating hard skills. (AP) — A Missouri prosecutor has dropped and refiled the murder case against Pamela Hupp, a killing that inspired a TV miniseries. Lincoln County Prosecuting Attorney Mike Wood charged Hupp with first-degree murder in July 2021, accusing her of killing her friend, Betsy Faria, a decade earlier. The original case had been moved on a change of venue to Springfield, about four hours away from Lincoln County. The Faria case was the subject of an NBC miniseries last year, “The Thing About Pam,” which starred Renee Zellweger. In that case, Hupp staged a fake kidnapping to divert attention from herself in a reinvestigation of the Faria killing, prosecutors said.

It found that most people are looking for partners who have either seen a mental health professional in the past or are currently seeing one now. Fully 92% of those polled said they prefer to date people who've been to therapy, the September survey found. "I don't like what you do, so I say you're gaslighting me," Perel said. That is to say, while some people get useful insight and assistance out of working with a mental health professional, other people may just get buzzwords. "Many people spend between six and eight hours a day on Zoom calls, which means in general, unless you have a walking desk, you're sitting for an extended period of time," says Kira Stokes, a celebrity trainer and founder of Kira Stokes Fitness. "[Bridges] actually work on hip extension, which is the opposite of hip flexion, and they get your glutes engaged," Stokes says. "What I hear a lot of as a trainer is, since Covid when Zoom calls really became a thing, there's been a real increase in low-back pain." Doing these exercises without a band is also possible, but the band gives you more of a challenge by adding resistance. Postural exercises After activating your glutes, Stokes says doing postural exercises is a good way to reset your posture after sitting for a long time.

Mary Lou Falcone has lived most of her life away from the spotlight. Fifty years ago, after brief careers as a performer and a teacher, Falcone changed course and became a leading publicist in the world of classical music. Now, for the first time since she was 28, Falcone has put herself center stage to promote a new, personal cause. In early 2019, her husband, the artist Nicholas Zann, was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia, a neurodegenerative disease. In many ways, she is doing what she has always done: crafting a narrative, then sharing it.

Searching for ways to feel more present, I started meditating every day and committed to it for an entire month; daily meditation opened my eyes to just how much time we spend living in the past or the future and not the present. Additional benefits of meditating include stress reduction, lower levels of anxiety, better sleep and increased self-awareness, says Perkowski. The practice of meditation can also shift a person's thinking from negative thoughts that feel too intense so they can move on from them, she adds. To truly reap the benefits of meditation, Perkowski recommends prioritizing consistency over length. So for 30 days straight, I meditated for at least five minutes daily to see if I'd experience any positives changes to my overall wellbeing.
