New York CNN —Is Wall Street’s favorite clique of tech stocks in need of a makeover? Most of the Magnificent Seven stocks have reclaimed their leadership of the market this year, with shares of Nvidia, Meta Platforms, Alphabet and Microsoft reaching record highs. Many investors are skeptical that the Magnificent Seven will match their blockbuster gains from 2023, even if they continue their leadership this year. Jim Worden, chief investment officer at the Wealth Consulting Group, says he believes the group should consolidate to the “Fab Five,” which he classifies as the Magnificent Seven minus Tesla and Apple. “There is a big leadership change underway in the Magnificent Seven stocks,” wrote Louis Navellier, chairman of Navellier & Associates, in a note on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that the untitled Disney Animation film slated for Thanksgiving is a sequel to the beloved 2016 film "Moana." Disney's animation studios — Walt Disney Animation and Pixar — have struggled at the box office in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. The decision trained parents to seek out new Disney titles on streaming, not theaters, even when Disney opted to return its films to the big screen. As a result, no Disney animated feature from Pixar or Walt Disney Animation has generated more than $480 million at the global box office since 2019. A sequel to "Moana" will arrive about six months after the theatrical release of "Inside Out 2," a sequel to the hit 2015 animated film about what really goes on inside a person's head.

ESPN parent Disney and Fox report earnings on Wednesday, and more answers could be on the way. Here are six of the biggest questions coming out of the new announcement:How much will it cost? This new streamer could be the thing that finally kills cable TV. If they believe it has promise, could it give ESPN, Fox, and WBD more bargaining power in sports-right negotiations and greater ability to shoulder the sky-high costs? Will this new streamer come to the negotiating table for more sports rights to pad out its offering?

"Netflix won the streaming wars in 2009 when they started streaming," said Tim Nollen, a media analyst at Macquarie. "I think it's a little bit ridiculous, to be honest," Bazinet said when asked if Netflix has won the streaming wars. AdvertisementHow Hollywood can beat Netflix at its own gameHollywood stalwarts can compete in streaming, Bazinet argued — provided the media industry first consolidates even further. The two biggest threats right now are Disney — which has about 220 million subscribers across Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ — and Amazon. Nollen said Amazon would flood the market with cheap ads and crush its competition like it did in e-commerce.

While Jackson’s transformation was a savvy collaboration with makeup brand CoverFx, temporary tattoo camouflage has snowballed as an essential celebrity makeup technique. While shooting the Disney+ series “The Bear,” Jeremy Allen White required extensive tattoo coverage (and temporary tattoo re-application) that would withstand filming for hours in a hot kitchen. Paris Jackson was a blank canvas on the red carpet after her makeup artists spent two hours camouflaging her 80 tattoos, shown on the right. Elsewhere on the red carpet, while Rey and Jackson were disguising their ink, Doja Cat (who scooped three awards this season) went face-first into the world of — albeit temporary — tattoos. Costco and TJX Companies should be able to manage the emerging transition to deflation by leveraging their deep value propositions to get customers to buy more. Average sale prices on other items like TVs have been lower while unit sales have gone higher. Membership fee revenue is some of the glue that allows Costco to keep prices so low. Costco can boost sales in either scenario by "encouraging its members to buy more items to get more savings," Feldman said. Like Costco, Feldman said the off-price retailer would need to increase revenue either through price or number of units.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on Wednesday proposed a set of new rules that would slash the fees banks charge customers for withdrawing more than the available funds in their account. Americans have paid an estimated $280 billion in overdraft fees since 2000, according to data from the consumer watchdog agency. "For too long, some banks have charged exorbitant overdraft fees — sometimes $30 or more — that often hit the most vulnerable Americans the hardest, all while banks pad their bottom lines," President Joe Biden said in a statement. Overdraft fees affect some 23 million households in a given year, and the proposed cutbacks would save Americans about $3.5 billion annually, the CFPB says. Much of that money would theoretically return to the pockets of lower income bank customers: Consumer Reports says 8% of bank customers generate nearly 75% of banks' revenue from such fees.

Should Trump's lead hold, says Andrew Smith, director of the University of New Hampshire poll, Trump will become the first candidate – aside from sitting presidents – to win both the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary. "We're so far past the days when voters nationally were really just waking up" to the campaign debates in the early weeks of a presidential election year, says Dante Scala, a University of New Hampshire professor and author of the book "Stormy Weather: The New Hampshire Primary and Presidential Politics." New Hampshire GOP voters, however, are a different breed of Republicans, Smith says, focusing more on fiscal conservatism and small government. Haley has 36% support and DeSantis 6% backing among primary voters. Trump seems to think so, too: He has focused much of his vitriol in the waning days of the New Hampshire campaign on Haley.

TOKYO (AP) — As Japan's space agency prepares for its first moon landing early Saturday, it's aiming to hit a very small target. The Smart Lander for Investigating Moon, a lightweight spacecraft about the size of a passenger vehicle, is using “pinpoint landing” technology that promises far greater control than any previous moon landing. The mission's main goal is to test new landing technology that would allow moon mission to land “where we want to, rather than where it is easy to land,” JAXA has said. After landing, the spacecraft will seek clues about the origin of the Moon, including analyzing minerals with a special camera. Japan also hopes a success will help regain confidence for its space technology after a number of failures.

Shortly after the opening bell, we will exit our position in Humana , selling 85 shares at roughly $388. Following the trade, Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust will no longer own shares in the managed care provider. Humana shares are falling in the premarket on a couple of negative updates that are meaningful enough to change our investment thesis — forcing us to sell the rest of our very small position. The reason behind the shortfall was higher-than-expected Medicare Advantage medical costs, driven by greater inpatient utilization and a further increase in outpatient surgery costs. Shortly before we first bought Humana in 2022, the company announced a similar shortfall to its Medicare Advantage growth.
