NEW YORK, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Marketing automation company Klaviyo Inc (KVYO.N) secured a valuation of $9.2 billion in its initial public offering (IPO) on Tuesday, the company said, after pricing the share sale above its indicated range. Klaviyo said it priced 19.2 million shares at $30 apiece. It had raised its indicated IPO price range from $25-$27 per share to $27-$29 per share on Monday. Reuters was first to report that Klaviyo was considering pricing the IPO above its targeted range at $30 per share. Bloomberg News first reported about the IPO being priced at $30.

The guidelines aim to get companies to report their nature risks in ways that mirror their financial and economic reporting that for decades have been part of regular corporate operations. Both the climate and nature frameworks urge companies to choose appropriate indicators to measure, monitor and report their risks. Climate and nature-related risks are often closely connected, Goldner said. The 14 recommendations launched on Monday include describing nature-related risks and opportunities to business models, and explaining management's role in assessing and handling them.

OTTAWA, Sept 18 (Reuters) - More than a year after Canada first announced incentives to jumpstart clean technology projects there is still no money flowing, and if they are not in place soon, more than C$50 billion ($37 billion) in investments could be at risk, industry groups said. The government "urgently needs to get as much of this out the door this fall as possible." Masterson says there are "well beyond C$25 billion of proposed investments" in more than a dozen projects in his industry that are waiting for the incentives. An additional C$17 billion in ITCs for clean hydrogen, electricity and manufacturing were announced six months ago and those are at an earlier stage. Adam Auer, president of Cement Association of Canada, said his members have "billions" in projects that are waiting on the ITCs.

Sept 18 (Reuters) - More than 50 Colombian state entities and private companies were hit by a cyber attack last week, Colombian President Gustavo Petro told journalists in New York. Internet service provider IFX Networks last week reported it was the victim of a ransomware attack, which saw dozens of Colombian organizations affected. Without naming the company, Petro said the wider impact of the attack showed IFX Networks did not have the right "cybersecurity measures" in place and put the company in breach of its contracts. Earlier on Monday, Colombia's Minister for Information, Technology and Communications Mauricio Lizcano said on messaging platform X that he had ordered administrative actions to be launched against IFX Networks. "We are coordinating ... a civil lawsuit and possibly a criminal case (against the company)," Lizcano said.

The focus is shifting to a new front: Synthetic graphite, an element developed in the late 19th century, but only redirected toward EVs in the past decade. Synthetic graphite could account for nearly two-thirds of the EV battery anode market by 2025, estimates Benchmark Mineral Intelligence. "It’s easier to set up a synthetic graphite production facility than it is to commission new mining sites for natural graphite” because producers can take advantage of incentives in last year's U.S. Inflation Reduction Act to build synthetic graphite capacity in the U.S. or Free Trade Agreement partners, she said. Other experts note synthetic graphite is generally higher purity and offers better and more predictable performance than natural graphite. Still, the construction of new production facilities for synthetic graphite, even with federal incentives, requires a staggering investment, said Novonix's Burns.
