But his wife said the crash was intentional, per The San Francisco Chronicle citing court documents. All four family members in the car, including the couple's 7-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son miraculously survived the steep fall. But Patel's wife, Neha Patel, told first responders "multiple times" that her husband intentionally drove the car off the cliff, the outlet reported, citing court records. In February, an attorney for Patel said in court that the man's wife did not want him to be prosecuted.

Two of the cases involved what Justice Department officials called procurement networks created to help Russia's military and intelligence services obtain sensitive technology. The former Apple engineer, identified as 35-year-old Weibao Wang, formerly resided in Mountain View, California, and was hired by Apple in 2016, according to an April indictment unsealed on Tuesday. After his last day at Apple, the company discovered that he had accessed large amounts of proprietary data in the days before his departure, the Justice Department said.

Eve, controlled by aircraft manufacturer Embraer (EMBR3.SA), said it expects to start commercial operations of its fully electric vehicle in 2026. The concept, called an electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle, or eVTOL, has been dubbed a flying taxi. The completed wind tunnel tests are seen as key for certification by regulators, as well as future production and sales to buyers worldwide. The wind tunnel tests were completed in Switzerland using an eVTOL scale model, which the company said helped it investigate how components such as its fuselage and wings will perform in flight. "The Eve eVTOL is unlikely to be first to market, although the order pipeline provides runway to capture market share of the emerging eVTOL market," according to Jefferies analysts.

Russia has used the Iranian-made drones to destroy buildings and kill civilians in Ukraine. The clip shows a Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric vehicle pull up directly beside an open parking spot, turn all four wheels perpendicular to the curb, and just scoot right on in. Once again, the Ioniq 5 swivels its wheels outward, but this time the front and rear wheels spin in opposite directions, making the Ioniq 5 spin in place. Volkswagen on Monday unveiled a new large electric sedan that it says will have well over 300 miles of range in its top-level trim when it arrives in the U.S. market next year. Base models will come with a 77 kWh battery that will provide an estimated 382 miles of range on the WLTP cycle, the company said.
