But my love story with Chez Janou began years prior, on a chilly January night. A picture I snapped of the scallops at Chez Janou in January 2020 — please ignore the iPhone 8 camera quality. Then came the famous chocolate mousse that had first tempted me through Chez Janou's doors. The chocolate mousse makes for good clicks, but it's also legitimately delicious. They recommend ordering the fried sardines, juicy and crisp duck — which Kaitlyn said was one of the best she's ever tried — ratatouille, and, of course, the chocolate mousse.

That means that after the 2029 Super Bowl, the NFL has the right to completely rejigger the media landscape, if it so chooses. NFL games last year were 93 of the top 100 most-watched TV broadcasts. But I also know that some legacy media executives are already thinking about 2029 and brainstorming internally about how they can afford to compete against the tech giants for NFL games. The NBA, in its most recent rights deal, only wanted three media packages to help with consumer confusion and subscription fatigue. Given how popular NFL games are versus everything else on TV, the architecture of the NFL rights is the single biggest decision in the American media industry.

I wanted to taste a descendant of those ancient peppers, Peru’s native ají amarillo. Now it was time to learn how this distillation of ají amarillo manifested in local dishes. The ají amarillo sauce was frozen into a shimmery yellow dust that turned to leche de tigre on the plate. Then came the soup, made of ají amarillo gone long on the stove with fish stock and fermented corn.

Hawaii may be the happiest state in America, but according to a recently conducted study, the residents of Wyoming have the most positive outlook on life. The company polled 5,000 U.S. adults, including 100 participants from each state. The survey was also done in partnership with Dr. Deepika Chopra, a behavioral scientist who is commonly referred to as "The Optimism Doctor."
