CHICAGO, July 28 (Reuters) - Farm and construction equipment maker CNH Industrial (CNHI.MI), reported better-than-expected operating profit on Friday, though shares fell as much as 6% as an unchanged revenue forecast cast doubt on future growth potential. Globally, CNH, which houses brands such as Case IH and New Holland, was boosted by strong demand for its high-horsepower farm equipment and record construction sales. However, sales for both agriculture and construction equipment contracted in South America. CNH's profit margins have been propped up by price increases across its machinery segments to help offset inflated input costs and a choppy supply chain. He also noted that dealers won't continue to accept double-digit price increases as inflation starts to cool.

(HOG.N) revised its sales outlook for the year after profit fell 17.5% in the second quarter as a suspension of production hit motorcycle shipments, the company said on Thursday. The 120-year old manufacturer revised its full-year revenue target and is anticipating sales growth of flat to 3% from its previous forecast of 4-7%. Net profit fell to $178 million, or $1.22 per share, in the second quarter, from $215.9 million, or $1.46 per share, a year earlier. Sales from motorcycles and related products fell about 4.4% to $1.19 billion in the quarter, which ended June 30. The company's financial services division saw a 19% increase in revenue growth but operating income was down 31% from the year prior.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, known as LIHEAP, has about $6 billion in funds for fiscal 2023, which runs through September. The association is calling on Congress to provide an additional $3 billion for cooling assistance this summer, which would help about 6 million households. And it is asking utilities to voluntarily suspend shutoffs this summer for those behind on their bills. It may be a little hard to remember, with all the injuries, career detours and mystifying losses, but there was a time when everything seemed possible for Canadian tennis. Every time a tennis fan looked up, it seemed, another wildly talented or gritty Canadian had made a Grand Slam final. Stellantis told workers at both facilites the plants will be in “critical status” from July 5 through October 2. In the past, automakers have built up inventory of their most popular vehicles ahead of the UAW contract deadline and possible strike action. Headed into this year’s talks, Detroit automakers had lean inventories compared to the past. Production cuts forced by semiconductor shortages and efforts by all three Detroit automakers to keep prices high mean they have thinner cushions going into the fall. Formal contract negotiations between the Detroit Three automakers and UAW leaders are set to begin on July 13.

Forbes Advisor, a financial advisor platform, analyzed data from 100 US airports to compile a list of the 10 worst airports for summer travel based on on-time arrival performance and airfare price.
