Read previewEven Kamala Harris wants to be a "brat" this summer. Harris is not the first politician to embrace the viral "brat summer" for political gain. So what exactly is a 'brat' summer? Social media has run with the idea of the "brat" summer, and the album's aesthetics have taken on a life of their own. Having a "brat" summer has become less about the album — and more about a state of mind.

Real estate, with its large transaction sizes and frequent use of wire transfers, has proven to be an especially lucrative target for criminals. In early July, Robillard told CNBC she had no idea whether she would ever see her money again. "This is not what I thought my public representation would look like, which is that I've lost all this money," Robillard said. While working there, I never felt indifferent toward the company; I either loved or hated it. Amazon felt like an engineer-driven company because technical engineers had control over entire projects versus being assigned small tasks by non-technical managers. As a senior engineer, I ran a training on "customer obsession," one of the main "leadership principles" that define Amazon employees. Because there are so many principles, managers could use them in contradictory ways. Amazon on-call shifts were frustrating and exhaustingAt Amazon, most of our product decisions were based on customers.

Read previewMemes and celebrity endorsements have already set the tone for Kamala Harris' presidential campaign. Kamala HQ instead posted a Venn diagram, with the two outer circles, "Biden HQ" and "Kamala HQ" merging to form "holding Trump accountable." Across the social media landscape, the energy is palpable, said David Karpf, a professor of media and public affairs at George Washington University. "When you've got a good social media team that has arrived at a cultural moment and pent-up enthusiasm, they get to play with it." While Harris' team is focusing on younger voters and voters of color, the appeal of social media transcends age, North said.

The former president praised the Secret Service agents who piled in when a gunman opened fire at an election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Simon Morgan, a security expert and former bodyguard to the British royal family, said the criticism of the Secret Service hasn't been entirely fair. Secret Service agents were unfairly judged, Morgan saidMorgan cautioned members of the public with "limited knowledge" to think twice before commenting. "The only people who can comment on what happened are those Secret Service agents," Morgan said. But according to a local law enforcement officer and the Butler County sheriff, law enforcement weren't aware that he also had a gun.

When I was a little girl, I used to ask my mom to adopt another child so that I could have an older sister. But once I started to get older (and learned how to be self-conscious), I wanted an older sibling to "show me the ropes," in a sense. And now, as a young woman who successfully (I hope) made it through being a teenager, I'm happy with that. I didn't need an older sibling figure to look up to, or one to look out for me. Even though I'm highly independent, I still ask my parents how to do things (like filing insurance claims).

For my book "Raising an Entrepreneur," I interviewed 70 parents who raised highly successful adults about how they helped their kids achieve their dreams. Here are the four things that the parents of the most successful people always did when their kids were young:1. Although many of the parents didn't understand their kid's passion, they supported them, because they saw the joy their child got from it. The most successful adults grew up knowing that their parents would always be there for them, no matter what they tackled. As their children grew more capable, the parents also resisted the temptation to do or fix things for them.

CrowdStrike is well-known in the cybersecurity industry, but until today, I don't think anyone was aware of its dominance as a platform on Windows. However, CrowdStrike might have evidence to suggest that this is a freak accident, so I don't think it's fair to point fingers too much. I don't think that's realistic. I don't think anyone really understood the true scope and presence of CrowdStrike before today. I don't think technology is intrinsically good or evil; it depends on how it's used and regulated.

The charts below show how stock sectors moved in the 24 hours after the debate and how a Trump administration might impact sectors with varying regulatory burdens. If Trump wins, investors will need to cut through the noise and at least understand how he might impact different parts of the economy. Where monetary policy is concerned, leading economist Christophe Barraud believes a Trump administration could pressure the Federal Reserve to be very accommodative on rates, in other words, steeper or sooner cuts. It expects a Trump Administration to allow LNG export permits after the Biden Administration attempted to halt them.
