Amber Venz Box always knew she wanted to run her own company. But when her marketing business got intensely popular, she was still in her early 20s — and she didn't exactly know what to do. When Box co-founded Dallas-based LTK in 2011, her goal was simple: Develop affiliate marketing tech to monetize her fashion blog. Today, LTK is a $2 billion company that connects influencers and bloggers with retail brands and their advertising dollars, but it didn't exactly go smoothly at first. "Being a young woman with little experience was like trying to run with boulders on my back, honestly," Box, 36, tells CNBC Make It.

Yet even if the higher-end estimate is accurate, as Trump’s lawyers have made clear in sober, detailed filings, it wouldn’t be enough. And at least some of the money Trump does have is tied up in loan agreements that include terms requiring him to have tens of millions of dollars in cash on hand. One insurer, Chubb, underwrote a $91.63 million bond just two weeks ago in another Trump legal loss – E. Jean Carroll’s defamation case. In the past week, the insurer informed Trump’s team it could not accept property as collateral. In total, 30 insurers contacted by Trump’s team declined to pursue the effort to secure a bond.

CNN —Former President Donald Trump is starting to struggle under the weight of multiple legal cases against him. His leadership political action committee, Save America, spent nearly $5.6 million in legal fees in February alone. And while the super PAC Maga Inc. has refunded nearly all of that money, that’s money that could have been used for Trump’s campaign. According to recent Federal Election Commission filings, the president had $71 million in available cash in his principal campaign account at the end of February, compared to Trump’s campaign, which reported $33.5 million. It’s likely that big-ticket supporters would rather back a campaign for the next president than fund a collective bailout.

Online safety experts have raised alarms that the proliferation of AI-generated content could confuse and mislead users across the internet, especially ahead of elections in the United States and elsewhere in 2024. YouTube creators will be required to identify when their videos contain AI-generated or otherwise manipulated content that appears realistic — so that YouTube can attach a label for viewers — and could face consequences if they repeatedly fail to add the disclosure. Starting Monday, creators will see a new checklist in the YouTube Creator Studio asking them to identify if their videos contain realistic, AI-generated content. YouTube will only require creators to label realistic AI-generated content that could confuse viewers into thinking it’s real. Creators won’t be required to disclose when the synthetic or AI-generated content is clearly unrealistic or “inconsequential,” such as AI-generated animations or lighting or color adjustments.

The hottest artificial intelligence event of the year kicks off next week, setting the stage for key AI players to see sharp moves. Nvidia's GTC Conference, dubbed "AI Woodstock" by Bank of America, offers an opportunity for the company to showcase its latest AI chip innovations and future vision as it labors to maintain its dominance in the field. The product is expected to offer a slew of "architectural innovations" and better performance than Nvidia's flagship H100 chip, wrote New Street's Pierre Ferragu. According to Wedbush's Matt Bryson, the new chip could benefit the liquid cooling industry that may fuel power-hungry data centers. "As such, we believe any system NVDA announces that includes liquid cooling technology could effectively dictate the path of liquid cooling moving forwards and thereby determining winners and losers in the server and cooling space," Bryson said.

Another threat to election officialsAt least four swatting incidents have been aimed at the homes of senior officials who oversee or work to secure elections since December. Separately, a Department of Justice taskforce launched in 2021 has reviewed more than 2,000 allegations of hostility, harassment, abuse, or threats to election officials and staffers, a department spokesperson said. Swatting was featured in a tabletop exercise for election officials in New Jersey last month, a spokesperson for the secretary of state told CNN. Such incidents have prompted The Elections Group, a consulting group led by former election officials, to begin sharing resources on swatting with election workers and incorporating the topic into trainings.
