But the surveys also reveal a noticeable gap in support between the pro-abortion rights amendments and the Democratic presidential and Senate candidates who are campaigning on a pro-abortion rights platform. Pro-abortion rights ballot measures won in every state where they appeared on the ballot, including conservative-leaning ones, in the 2022 and 2023 elections. Similarly in Arizona, a proposed amendment to enshrine abortion rights in the state’s constitution has clear majority support. In Montana, there’s little evidence that the presence of an abortion rights amendment has had a major effect on the race between three-term Democratic Sen. Jon Tester and Republican challenger Tim Sheehy. For example, in Missouri, public polling indicates broad support for a constitutional amendment to enshrine abortion rights, while Republican Sen. Josh Hawley and Trump hold strong leads in their races.

Plus, "Meet the Press" moderator breaks down the polling numbers behind Barack Obama's stern message to Black voters. Former President Barack Obama came to Pittsburgh on Thursday with a stark warning for Black men to step up their support for Harris. The survey found that men under the age of 50 were the most likely subgroup of Black voters to back Trump over Harris. While Harris had a 78-point lead among Black men over 50, the number drops to about 50 points with Black men under 50. The Trump campaign had pounced on Harris’ comments Tuesday on ABC's "The View" that "there’s not a thing that comes to mind" when she was asked what she would have done differently from Biden during his term. The Trump campaign also cut a video interspersing Harris’ quote with news clips about the widely criticized withdrawal from Afghanistan and crime connected to migrants, as well as inflation. She said the legislation would have added 1,500 more border agents, "except Donald Trump got in the way of that bill." Harris took nearly a dozen questions from audience members at the town hall, which was moderated by journalist Enrique Acevedo, about issues from abortion to the cost of living. My long-distance partner and I moved to Massachusetts thinking it was a great place to merge lives. We advanced our careers in Boston but found it to be too expensive and not a great fit for us. The city wasn't what we expected, and we struggled to get used to itBoston had beautiful foliage in the fall but it wasn't enough to make up for our issues with the city. Even our cats, confined to a too-small apartment with views of a similarly run-down building beside us, seemed to feel it: Boston wasn't for us.
