Boulos arranged Trump campaign efforts to engage the Arab American community in Michigan, organizing dozens of meetings in areas with large Arab American populations angered by Democratic President Joe Biden's backing of Israel's offensives in Gaza and Lebanon. Violence flared in Kurram district on November 21 when gunmen ambushed a vehicle convoy and killed 52 people, mostly Shiite Muslims. Nobody claimed responsibility for the assault, which triggered retaliatory firing and arson by rival groups in several areas. But dozens from both sides have been killed in Kurram since July, when a land dispute turned into general sectarian violence. Kurram is in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where armed groups like the Pakistani Taliban operate.

CNN —Police in Australia said a woman was forced to fend off a deadly tiger snake in her vehicle while driving 50 miles per hour on a freeway outside Melbourne. The woman told the officers that she had been traveling 80 kilometers per hour (50 miles per hour) when she felt something on her foot and looked down to find a tiger snake — one of the world’s most venomous serpents — slithering up her leg. Tim Nanninga of Melbourne Snake Control, who was called to the scene to capture and relocate the snake, said the woman in Melbourne was very fortunate. “It’s a miracle how she got off the road and safely parked the car,” he told CNN affiliate 9News.
