In 2019, Indiana became the second state, more than 20 years after California, to pass a statute making fertility fraud a felony. That goes for MBAs as much as MFAs, and it’s a lesson Lyft executives learned the hard way on Tuesday, when an errant zero sent its stock (briefly) to the stratosphere. The Lyft typo came in an earnings report that stated, incorrectly, that the company’s estimated gross margin would expand by 500 basis points, which would amount to a stunning five-percentage-point bump. The stock shot up more than 60% before Lyft’s CFO corrected the error on a call with analysts, bringing the stock back to Earth. With the error in the rear view, Lyft shares were up up 30% Wednesday, bolstered by stronger-than-expected earnings and a rosy outlook for future cash flows. “Look, it was a bad error, and that’s on me,” Lyft CEO David Risher told CNBC on Wednesday.

The treaty also limited the number of troops stationed on the border between Egypt and Gaza, which at the time was controlled by Israel. CNN —While the 2024 presidential race seems set in stone as a rematch between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, it’s also true that things happen. Back in November 1872, for instance, the newspaper publisher and Democratic presidential candidate Horace Greeley died after Election Day but before the casting of Electoral College votes. No one knows for sure what would happen if a candidate died or for some reason needed to withdraw from the race. The process of replacing a presidential candidate very much depends on when the vacancy occurs – during the primary process and before the party convention; during the convention or after the convention; or before or after people vote in November. Getting any form of relief into Gaza is a long and arduous process, aid workers and the UN say. An average of 95 aid trucks per day entered Gaza between October 10 and February 1, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent, down from 500 commercial and aid trucks a day before the war, when Palestinians weren’t facing mass displacement and starvation. Following pressure from the US, Israel began allowing aid trucks to pass through Kerem Shalom in late December.
