The iconic Biltmore Estate, situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains, spans 175,000 square feet, boasts 250 rooms, 43 bathrooms, 65 fireplaces and 22 miles of walking trail. “We are still assessing impacts to the estate from Tropical Storm Helene and that will take some time,” the estate said. Port employers and striking dockworkers reached a tentative agreement on wages, according to a joint statement. The strike will be suspended until January to allow time to work out the specifics of a new contract.
