Donald Trump claimed in an interview on CNBC that he had "never been a fan" of Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone, the billionaire investor who endorsed the former president's primary challenger, Nikki Haley. "Well, look, I've never been a fan of Ken," Trump said. Trump and Langone were in contact in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic, according to archived records of the former president's schedule. In a separate interview in January, Langone said he would not support Trump if the former president were the Republican nominee. Langone co-founded Home Depot over 40 years ago, and he has a net worth of over $8 billion, according to Forbes.

The reelection campaign of President Joe Biden on Monday released a new digital advertisement targeting Donald Trump over comments the former president made to CNBC about cutting government programs including Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. The Biden campaign gave CNBC a first look at the new 20-second ad highlighting the statement on "Squawk Box" by Trump, who as the presumptive GOP presidential nominee is expected to face Biden in November's election. In the interview on Monday, CNBC host Joe Kernen asked Trump if he had changed his "outlook on how to handle entitlements: Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid?" I won't cut Social security. "If you losers didn't cut his answer short, you would know President Trump was talking about cutting waste," the Trump campaign said in a tweet responding to the Biden campaign's post featuring video of the former president.

Former President Donald Trump and his allies on the Republican National Committee want to convince Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk to speak at the GOP convention in July, people familiar with the matter told CNBC. It is not clear if Trump or his allies have raised the idea with Musk. Musk previously voiced support for the Republican presidential candidacy of Florida Gov. "He said the other day, 'Oh, I've never voted for a Republican,' " Trump said at that rally. Thiel also said in that interview that Trump's presidential administration, which spanned January 2017 to January 2021, was "crazier" and "more dangerous than I thought."

Arizona Republican Senate Candidate Kari Lake speaks with reporters after leaving the office of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Capitol Hill on March, 6 2024 in Washington, DC. Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake has been quietly meeting with lobbyists and raising money in Washington in recent weeks, according to people familiar with the matter. Lake has built her political brand around her willingness to buck the D.C. establishment wing of the GOP. On Tuesday, Lake met with about a dozen lobbyists in the nation's capital, and the following day she attended a campaign fundraiser that was heavy with D.C. hired guns. "I don't give a damn what the lobbyists think," Lake wrote in a tweet on X.

A growing number of Republican National Committee members believe its campaign arm should help pay mounting legal bills for former President Donald Trump, a move that could strain the party's ability to financially support other candidates in the 2024 election. "I support the RNC paying President Trump's legal bills," Yue said. And the RNC historically has raised money to support candidates up and down the ballot, not to pay for a candidate's legal bills. There also might be a decision made at that meeting on whether the RNC will pay for Trump's legal bills. "The only mission of the Republican National Committee is to elect our presumptive nominee Trump as the 47th President," Yue wrote.

As a result, Tuesday's outcomes in the presidential primaries are less about predicting who will be the eventual nominee, and more about gauging general election momentum eight months out from November. President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump hold commanding leads in the polls of their parties' voters. Perhaps even more exciting than the presidential primaries are several competitive down-ballot races with major implications for national politics. Primaries in California's Senate race and North Carolina's gubernatorial contest are two that merit special attention. In California, the battle to fill the late Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein's seat is already the most expensive Senate race in the state's history.

Jonathan Ernst | ReutersThe mission of the Election Integrity Alliance, likewise, was ending election fraud. "The Election Integrity Alliance will unite groups and efforts across the nation focused on combating election fraud," the group's now-defunct website trumpeted in 2021. But Trump never publicly designated the Election Integrity Alliance as the standard bearer for the MAGA universe's election integrity efforts. AFPI also launched an election integrity effort, the Center for Election Integrity, and staffed it with former Trump White House press aide Hogan Gidley and conservative author Ken Blackwell. It even launched its own color-coded election integrity scorecard map, which looks strikingly similar to the one that the Election Integrity Alliance had created for its now-deleted website.

New York CNN —The New York Times is facing questions about a sweeping investigative story it published on the Israel-Hamas war back in December. But key elements of The Times’ reporting in telling that larger story have since fallen under the microscope. “We weren’t aware of the rape initially; we were informed only when The New York Times’ journalist approached us,” her mother told the Israeli outlet YNet. we don’t know exactly what happened.”“It was only following the New York Times investigation that we learned from the journalists that my sister had been raped,” Abdush’s brother added to YNet. In this case, there is a large volume of evidence to indicate that Hamas carried out sexual assaults during the October 7 attack.

Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley speaks at a campaign stop in Elgin, South Carolina, U.S., February 12, 2024. As Nikki Haley falls behind Donald Trump in the Republican presidential primary, something strange is happening: Many of her donors are sticking with her. "Even if she doesn't win, I feel right in doing this," said the donor, who was granted anonymity to speak freely. That Reagan wing, which stands in contrast to the isolationist foreign policy and protectionist economics that define Trump's brand of populism, "isn't going away," the fundraiser said. Paul Levy, a founder of private equity firm JLL Partners and a Haley donor, said he and other donors like him believe she represents the Reagan wing of the GOP.

US President Biden arrives to board Air Force One at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on December 20, 2023, as he departs for Milwaukee, Wisconsin. President Joe Biden's $140 million campaign war chest has been bolstered by a group of loyal advisers and fundraisers that some party strategists call a "dream team" effort to defeat the likely Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump. "They have kind of put together a dream team in fundraising," said Jim Messina, who served as former President Barack Obama's campaign manager for his successful 2012 reelection campaign. Katzenberg has been speaking with donors to Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley and trying to recruit them to support Biden. But Katzenberg pointed to Haley's support in places like New Hampshire, where she won 43% of the Republican primary vote, saying that suggests there is a slice of the Republican party ready to move on from Trump.
