Unlike eating disorders like anorexia or bulimia nervosa, this diagnosis isn’t concerned with body shape or size, said Kate Dansie, clinical director of the Eating Disorder Center in Rockville, Maryland. Instead, people with ARFID are very limited in the foods they feel safe and comfortable eating, Dansie said. While an estimated 9% of the US population will have an eating disorder at some point, studies suggest that somewhere between 0.5% and 5% of the population has ARFID, according to the National Eating Disorders Association. The technology to store renewable energy for long periods hasn’t quite been mastered, either. The interconnector would send renewable energy both east and west, taking advantage of the sun’s diurnal journey across the sky. The transatlantic interconnector is still a proposal, but networks of green energy cables are starting to sprawl across the world’s sea beds. They are fast becoming part of a global climate solution, transmitting large amounts of renewable energy to countries struggling to make the green transition alone. Not all of them carry renewable power exclusively — that’s sometimes determined by what makes up each country’s energy grid — but new ones are typically being built for a green energy future.

Vehicles parked at Kenya’s Supreme Court have been set on fire, CNN’s affiliate Citizen TV Kenya reported Tuesday. The Supreme Court building is close to Nairobi’s City Hall, which was set on fire Tuesday. Meanwhile, the dining area of the Kenyan Parliament is in disarray after protesters entered the premises Tuesday, video by CNN affiliate NTV shows. According to NTV, some members of parliament were having lunch in the dining area when protesters entered the parliament. A television in a room leading from the dining area was smashed, and flags were seen on the floor elsewhere in the parliament.

Mattel aims to make 80% of its games colorblind accessible by the end of the year, before raising that amount to 90% in 2025, the company announced Tuesday. Mattel said the move is part of an inclusivity effort and will target some of its most popular products, including Uno, Phase 10, Dos, Blokus and Tumblin' Monkeys games, according to a press release. Mobile versions of the card games will be updated with new symbols for colorblind identification, such as squares and triangles, according to the release. The new 'Beyond Colors' mobile decks are being led by Mattel163, Mattel's joint mobile game developer and publisher venture with NetEase . Mattel said it will donate colorblind accessible products to local YMCA summer camps to celebrate this milestone.

More than 1,300 people died during this year's Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia as the faithful faced extreme high temperatures at Islamic holy sites in the desert kingdom, Saudi authorities announced Sunday. All but 31 of them were unauthorized pilgrims, according to two officials in Cairo. Egypt has revoked the licenses of 16 travel agencies that helped unauthorized pilgrims travel to Saudi Arabia, authorities said. Those agencies left pilgrims in limbo in Mecca and the holy sites in scorching heat, the newspaper said. AP journalists saw pilgrims fainting from the scorching heat, especially on the second and third days of the Hajj.
