There's a new stack of hardware, software, tools, and services that will power AI applications for years to come. Cloud 2.0Another key point here: Most AI developers already know how to use CUDA and Nvidia GPUs. Arguably, Nvidia has already created an AI cloud platform – as AWS once did for the Cloud 1.0 era. James Hamilton is an AWS cloud infrastructure genius who can take on Nvidia, even if the chipmaker has a major head start. Her startup spent months building a data center from scratch to help customers train AI models.

TORONTO (AP) — You don’t expect to see a movie named “Dicks: The Musical” on the marquee and neither did its makers. Josh Sharp and Aaron Jackson, who created and star in “Dicks: The Musical,” certainly struggled to believe it. But “Dicks: The Musical," a freewheeling queer cult-favorite-to-be, is a gleefully tasteless bid to break free of comedy doldrums. “People maybe want to go for a bigger laugh but they’re afraid they’re going to offend too many people. [1/2] Former U.S. President Donald Trump departs from Trump Tower to give a deposition to New York Attorney General Letitia James who sued Trump and his Trump Organization, in New York City, U.S., April 13, 2023. The judge in the case, Justice Arthur Engoron, ruled on Sept. 26 that James had proven Trump and his co-defendants fraudulently inflated his assets. Trump does not face any criminal penalties in the civil case but could suffer substantial financial and business consequences. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO TRUMP'S BUSINESS EMPIRE? In a post on his Truth Social platform the day of the ruling, Trump called accusations that he committed fraud "ridiculous and untrue," and blasted Engoron as a "DERANGED" judge.

New York City judge Arthur Engoron is presiding over Donald Trump's NY fraud trial. Engoron, a Democrat, has ruled repeatedly against Trump in the three years he's been presiding over James' lawsuit. Trump does not face any criminal penalties in the civil case but could suffer substantial financial and business consequences. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO TRUMP'S BUSINESS EMPIRE? Trump's lawyers have disputed James' figures, saying they are based on flawed accounting methods that fail to consider Trump's "investment genius" in arriving at his own asset valuations. Once she is sworn in, Butler will be the only Black woman in the Senate and the first openly LGBTQ+ California senator. That, alongside her background in the labor and women's rights movements, helps harden Newsom’s ties to important national Democratic constituencies. She is expected to be sworn in Tuesday in Washington by Harris, the last Black woman to serve in the Senate. At the time, Newsom was under pressure to select a Black woman to fill the seat of Harris, who is Black. Tshisekedi is seeking a second term in the vast nation, which is the world's top cobalt supplier and No. 3 copper producer, after winning a disputed first term in a 2018 vote. On Sunday, a congress of the Sacred Union coalition that includes political heavyweights such as Defence Minister Jean Pierre Bemba and Economy Minister Vital Kamerhe, picked Tshisekedi unanimously. Tshisekedi, the son of Congo's beloved long-term opposition leader Etienne Tshisekedi, promised to root out corruption and authoritarianism and has rejected accusations by rights groups and critics that he has fallen short on his promises.

Apple is blaming a software bug and other issues tied to popular apps such as Instagram and Uber for causing its recently released iPhone 15 models to heat up and spark complaints about becoming too hot to handle. It didn't specify a timeline for when its own software fix would be issued but said no safety issues should prevent iPhone 15 owners from using their devices while awaiting the update. In its acknowledgement, Apple stressed that the trouble isn't related to the sleek titanium casing that houses the high-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max instead of the stainless steel used on older smartphones. The downturn has affected iPhone sales, which fell by a combined 4% in the nine months covered by Apple's past three fiscal quarters compared with a year earlier. Apple is trying to pump up its sales in part by raising the starting price for its top-of-the-line iPhone 15 Pro Max to $1,200, an increase of $100, or 9%, from last year's comparable model.

REUTERS/Lindsay DeDario/File Photo Acquire Licensing RightsSept 28 (Reuters) - Donald Trump will not seek to move a criminal case alleging he conspired to reverse his 2020 presidential election loss in Georgia from state to federal court, his lawyers said on Thursday, a development that could simplify the former U.S. president's path to trial. Trump has denied wrongdoing and said the case is part of a political witch hunt. Trump, Meadows and 17 others were charged in a sprawling indictment in August. Trump has said the criminal case and three others he faces are part of a political plot aimed at preventing him from retaking the White House in next year's election.

NEW YORK (AP) — Does a judge’s fraud finding spell the end of Donald Trump ’s real estate empire? He decried Tuesday’s ruling, which shifts control of some of his companies to a court-appointed receiver, as the “KILL TRUMP” decision. As he quizzed the judge, Kise noted that some of the Trump entities being stripped of their business licenses own properties such as Trump Tower and an office building at 40 Wall Street, both in Manhattan. “Is it the court’s position that those assets are now going to be sold or just going to be managed under the direction of the (receiver)?” Kise asked. That would far exceed even the highest value he listed for Mar-a-Lago on his financial statements, $739 million in 2018.

In a sale of existing shares no new capital is raised, but insiders and investors are allowed to sell their shares. OpenAI's new valuation would be almost triple of what the company was worth after a share sale earlier this year, the WSJ reported.

September 22 - Jameson Taillon struck out seven while going six innings and Seiya Suzuki clubbed a two-run homer for one of his three hits, and had three RBIs, as the Chicago Cubs beat the visiting Colorado Rockies 6-0 on Friday. Taillon (8-10) certainly helped the cause, though he was far from dominant while yielding four of Colorado's six hits and four walks. The Cubs loaded the bases with one out in the first against Colorado rookie starter Noah Davis (0-3), but managed only a run via Suzuki's RBI single. Rockies left fielder Nolan Jones cut down Ian Happ trying to score a second run on the same play to end the inning. In his first major league start since June 20, Davis lasted five innings, allowing three runs, four hits, walking three and striking out four.

But these tales have special resonance when they involve talk show hosts because their affable, easygoing charm is elemental to their appeal. They’re friendly and they’re easy to talk to — that’s the whole point. It is a direct effect of the way these shows are structured.
