While child abuse pediatricians remain firm on the validity of the diagnosis, Roberson’s attorneys say there is ample evidence that his daughter, Nikki Curtis, did not die of child abuse. Additionally, she had fallen off a bed, and was particularly vulnerable in her sickly condition, Roberson’s attorneys say. Roberson’s attorneys are not disputing that babies can and do die from being shaken. Separately, Roberson’s attorneys have petitioned the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles and GOP Gov. A bipartisan group of more than 80 Texas legislators has supported Roberson’s case, and his request for clemency.

“I think, frankly, that ad from the Trump campaign is a little bit of like throwing, you know, stones when you’re living in a glass house,” she said. He asked how many undocumented immigrants Harris would estimate the administration has released into the United States during Biden’s presidency. Baier asked Harris about Laken Riley, the 22-year-old Georgia nursing student who was killed while jogging in February. Harris maintained over the course of the interview that the immigration system is broken – a position held by Democrats and Republicans. “I do not believe in decriminalizing border crossings, and I’ve not done that as vice president,” she said.

Democratic nominee Kamala Harris said on her campaign's X account that Trump rambled and "looked confused" on stage during the event. Almost 30 minutes into the town hall event, Trump paused the event so someone in the audience could receive treatment. Two minutes later, as Trump faced the fifth question of the night, another person became ill and the song played again. Kristi Noem of South Dakota asked Trump on stage, "Do you want to play your song and then greet a few people?" Including Detroit, Trump this year has pointedly attacked the most populous cities in three battleground states crucial to winning the White House: Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Thank you, sir, for saying it.’ They want help.”“These cities,” Trump added, “it’s like living in hell.”It’s not only large cities that Trump likes to vilify. In total, Larsen has given around $1.9 million to support Harris' campaign directly and through PACs, according to FEC data compiled by crypto market and blockchain analyst James Delmore and independently verified by CNBC. CNN —Kamala Harris is responding to Democratic panic about her White House prospects by turning up the heat on Donald Trump. The vice president warned Monday that the ex-president was “unstable,” “unhinged” and out for “unchecked power” as she sent a jolt of urgency though her campaign with 21 days to go. Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, meanwhile, went even further, suggesting the ex-president’s musings about using the military against domestic foes he branded “the enemy from within” could even amount to treason. An image of former President Donald Trump appears on screen as Vice President Kamala Harris speaks during a campaign rally in Erie, Pennsylvania, on October 14, 2024. Black men have historically voted overwhelmingly for Democratic candidates, with turnout typically lagging that of Black women but consistent nonetheless. Even a relatively small drop in support from Black men for Harris could be significant given the razor-thin margins in battleground states. “Black men prioritize being the primary breadwinners of the household and care about real wages and permanent jobs. The Harris campaign also plans to ramp up its programming specifically designed to engage Black men. Why so many Florida gas stations are still out of gas

New York CNN —Hurricane Milton passed through Florida days ago, but the devastating storm is still causing chaos at gas stations. Hundreds of gas stations in Florida still don’t have gas, including roughly half of the stations in the hard-hit Tampa area. Meanwhile, the number of gas stations without gas has fallen sharply. This represents a significant improvement, although it still means that more than 1,300 Florida gas stations remain dry five days after Hurricane Milton made landfall. Florida gas stations are out of fuel following the storm that made landfall as a Category 3 hurricane in the Siesta Key area of Florida, causing damage and flooding throughout Central Florida.
