In Flipkart's case, a 1,696-page CCI report said the Indian units of Samsung, Xiaomi, Motorola, Vivo, Lenovo and Realme conducted similar practices. Siva Prasad wrote in the Amazon and Flipkart reports, in identical findings. Amazon, Flipkart and the CCI did not respond, and have not so far commented on the reports' findings. Both the CCI reports said that during investigations Amazon and Flipkart "deliberately downplayed" allegations of exclusive launches, but officials found the practice was "rampant".

Masato Kanda, vice-minister of finance for international affairs at Japan's Ministry of Finance, during a press conference after the Group of 20 (G-20) finance ministers and central bank governors meeting. Japan will nominate Masato Kanda, the country's former top currency diplomat, as its candidate to become next head of the Asian Development Bank, Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki said on Tuesday. Since the ADB was founded in 1966, its top post has always been filled by someone from Japan which, along with the United States, is the bank's biggest shareholder. That makes Kanda a strong candidate to take up the post. "(Kanda) is most appropriate to lead the ADB as he is well-versed in Asia-Pacific affairs and has built deep networks with executives from various countries and international institutions," Suzuki said at a regular press conference.

☆ Two NASA telescopes capture closest pair of supermassive black holes

CNN —Two telescopes have spotted the closest pair of supermassive black holes to date. Active galactic nuclei are supermassive black holes that release bright jets of material and high winds that can shape the very galaxies where they are found. Astronomers discovered these black holes dancing around one another at the center of a pair of colliding galaxies called MCG-03-34-64, which is 800 million light-years away. Astronomers serendipitously found the black holes when Hubble’s observations revealed three spikes of bright light within the glowing gas of a galaxy. Both supermassive black holes once served as the centers of their respective galaxies, but a galactic merger brought the two objects much closer together.
