The impact of artificial intelligence on Wall Street has plenty of people concerned, but some financial advisors fear a much more sinister opponent. Financial advisors are right to be concerned. Couple that with their often obsessive consumption of social media, and you start to see why financial advisors never had a fighting chance. More on why advisors are worried about young people turning to TikTok for help with their finances.

His nearly 420,000 followers reward him with hearts and laughing-face emojis. Greg Gianforte of Montana signed a bill on Wednesday making his state the first in the nation to ban the site, Mr. Poole, along with hundreds of thousands of users, was left trying to make sense of the unlikely collision between TikTok’s mostly young users and international geopolitics. Recent videos posted by Mr. Poole, of Bozeman, cover topics like cows, which outnumber people in Montana, and spring showers, which often bring frozen pellets called graupel, not rain. He says he posts for fun, not money, and his objective on the app is simple: “I want to make people laugh.”Mr. Poole expected the ban to face numerous legal challenges, he said, so he was “not losing sleep” over it.

Twitter CEO Elon Musk announced changes to the platform's direct messages feature including the introduction of encryption. Twitter could launch encrypted direct messages on Wednesday, Elon Musk said, as the CEO outlined plans to boost communication features on the social media service. Musk said in a tweet late Tuesday that the latest version of the Twitter app contains changes to direct messages or DMs — non-public messages users send to one another. Encryption in messages means that only the sender and receiver are able to see a message. In theory, Twitter and Musk would not be able to see or intercept direct messages between people.

OnlyFans creators promote their content on other social-media sites to find new subscribers. To be successful on OnlyFans, creators have to spend a lot of time off the platform. Reddit is one go-to for some creators to promote their OnlyFans pages, five creators told Insider, all of whom asked to be referred to by their online pseudonyms to protect their privacy. Some OnlyFans creators who promote on Reddit described it as a "necessary evil" because of how difficult the platform can be to navigate. Hanna Matyiku-Nuñez was laid off from her job as a marketing manager at a small tech firm in 2021. She developed resentment toward her tech colleagues who got laid off from bigger companies. I was laid off from my marketing position at a small startup most people had never heard of. In my mind, this meant the enviable perks of working for a tech giant continued even after a layoff. I now realize the shame of being laid off kept me from being open, and later drove me to layoff resentment.

April 7 (Reuters) - Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce showed why he makes his money catching balls instead of throwing them after his ceremonial first pitch at a Cleveland Guardians baseball game badly missed the mark on Friday. A smiling Kelce immediately ran over to check on Guardian's pitcher Shane Bieber, who was crouched behind home plate but never had a shot at catching the errant throw. Kelce's brother Jason plays for the Philadelphia Eagles and the pitch is sure to be a topic when they record the next episode of their podcast "New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce." It's easier to leverage misinformation for personal gain within the world of finance than perhaps any other industry. I'm not the type to suggest the only real information you can get on the markets is from established news outlets. Do you think the legacy media is fearful of Elon Musk's new Twitter? I just think the discourse on Twitter is very different from what you'd find on a media website. My position on bitcoin, and the wider digital-currency ecosystem, is that it's too often a solution looking for a problem.
But John McEntee, a former Trump White House official, thinks that's "ridiculous." But John McEntee, who worked as a top White House staffer when former President Donald Trump attempted to ban the app via executive order, says he's unabashedly "pro-TikTok" and insists the push from the right to ban the Chinese-owned app is "ridiculous." "I think Republicans are such nerds for even doing this," McEntee, the one-time Director of the Official of Presidential Personnel, told Insider in an interview on Thursday. In that job, he reportedly scrutinized White House staffers for their perceived loyalty and played a significant role in the effort to pressure Vice President Mike Pence to overturn the election results on January 6, 2021. In one widely-viewed TikTok, McEntee dances to Demi Lovato's "La La Land" while riffing on liberals attending their first protest, making hand-horns as Lovato sings the phrase "converse with my dress."
To report this story, Reuters contacted more than 300 former Tesla employees who had worked at the company over the past nine years and were involved in developing its self-driving system. The company requires car owners to grant permission on the cars’ touchscreens before Tesla collects their vehicles’ data. Reuters found that Tesla employees shared clips that captured sensitive and embarrassing personal moments. Tesla’s own data labelers initially worked in the San Francisco Bay area, including the office in San Mateo. According to several ex-employees, some labelers shared screenshots, sometimes marked up using Adobe Photoshop, in private group chats on Mattermost, Tesla’s internal messaging system.
For our internships, we worked in-person in Seattle, then both moved on to full-time roles as lead product managers at Microsoft. We already had a decent amount of experience before we interned at Microsoft: Mark had interned for companies like Apple, and Andrew with Apple and Tesla. Mark and Andrew AnsellLet's start with the fun thingsEvery year Microsoft has an intern day. I think they purposefully give interns a lot of independence because full-time work at Microsoft requires the same sort of self-guidance. Microsoft truly has one of the best work cultures in our experience and we recommend the company to anyone.
Young workers may not possess the experience or wisdom of their older colleagues. When Gartner asked people what was preventing them from going into the office, Gen Zers were more likely than other generations to cite social anxiety. Pollak, the consultant, told me about a client who complained that their Gen Z employees were "abusing" the company's vacation policy. But these are the very people who can help young workers feel more seen and motivated in their jobs. My suggestions are targeted to shore up engagement among young workers, but they'd actually be good for everyone.
Now, it seems, TikTok wants to clear up some facts that lawmakers may have gotten wrong. TikTok wants to clear up "Myth vs Fact." After the TikTok CEO's 5-hour hearing at Congress last Thursday, the company wants to reassure advertisers that it'll be fine. The document states: "TikTok does not permit any government to influence or change its recommendation model." Advertisers make up a large chunk of TikTok's user base, which the company says is now at 150 million monthly active users in the US.

The official "RRR" account also shared footage from the event, which has racked up over 8.8 million views. Custom Tesla light show websites created by Tesla fans have also cropped up. The website TeslaLightShows.io allows users to upload and download free custom light shows from other Tesla owners.
