Health care officials in northern Gaza warned of severe shortages in medical supplies on Wednesday as Israeli bombardment in the area intensified. Mesh networks consist of devices that connect to each other rather than to a single router. A mesh network is a private wireless broadband network in which devices, or connection points, link to one another in a weblike structure. Mesh networks also offer significantly more safety and security, whether from a malicious attack or other breach. We're also moving toward more autonomy and artificial-intelligence-driven decision-making, applications, and technologies; mesh networks are built for that. If you drop a mesh network into an environment with poor LAN architecture and configuration, it will become apparent pretty quickly.

Both companies see massive potential for the technology, with a grand vision for AR glasses to usurp smartphones as the next generation of computing. Microsoft has also invested in AR technology for well over a decade, launching its HoloLens headset for enterprise in 2016. While Snap and Meta have debuted AR prototypes, they're still years away from selling those devices to consumers. The lawsuit, which was filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Orlando, accuses Character.AI of negligence, wrongful death and survivorship, as well as intentional infliction of emotional distress and other claims. A screenshot of what the lawsuit describes as Setzer’s last conversation shows him writing to the bot: “I promise I will come home to you. That’s not a good reason not to go through with it,” the lawsuit claims. Character.ai said in a blog post published Tuesday that it is introducing new safety measures. Setzer had also been conversing with other chatbot characters who engaged in sexual interactions with him, according to the lawsuit.
