CNN —A settlement was reached Friday between singer Cassie Ventura and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, one day after Ventura accused him in a federal lawsuit of rape and years of abuse, according to statements from both sides. Ventura, who previously dated Combs, filed a lawsuit on Thursday accusing Combs of raping her and subjecting her to years of repeated physical and other abuse. Combs offered Ms. Ventura eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit,” Wigdor told CNN. In the lawsuit, Ventura also alleged that after she tried to end their relationship in 2018, Combs forced his way into her home and raped her. CNN —Jeremy Renner has made leaps and bounds in his recovery after a near-fatal snowplow accident in January – and this week, those leaps and bounds could be seen, literally. On Tuesday, the “Avengers” star marked “10 months of recovery” by sharing a video on his Instagram page that showcased himself hopping down a hill, and then running back up. It’s an impressive feat considering Renner previously revealed on his social media that he had broken over 30 bones as a result of the accident, including a shattered tibia and a broken knee. Tyler Christopher, an actor known for his roles on “General Hospital” and “Days of Our Lives,” has died. Christopher’s representative Chi Muoi Lo told CNN in a statement that the actor died Tuesday morning. In a 2017 interview with Soap Opera Digest, the actor said he’d left “General Hospital” to take a “personal leave,” and ultimately did not end up returning to the show. Outside of his celebrated career as an actor, Christopher dealt with various hardships toward the end of his life. In May, the actor was arrested at the Hollywood-Burbank airport on suspicion of public intoxication, according to the LA Times.

CNN —The body of “Friends” star Matthew Perry is now with the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office and an autopsy is pending, according to online records from that agency. No foul play is suspected, a law enforcement source told CNN, however, the incident remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department Robbery-Homicide Division.
