In a Thursday interview with CNBC's Jim Cramer, Cummins CEO Jennifer Rumsey explained why hydrogen plays a role in the company's strategy. "We need hydrogen, hydrogen has to be a part of the answer," she said. "And the reason is, you've got renewable energy that we need to convert into some kind of fuel, transport, and have it available when we need it." Rumsey explained that hydrogen can provide a way to store renewable energy and transport it to where fuel is needed. "We're investing today in hydrogen engines, so we'll be able to burn hydrogen in these HELM engine platforms, and then also in fuel cells," Rumsey said.

CNN —A large-scale prisoner swap between the US and Russia is under way, according to a source familiar, and it is expected to include Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, former US Marine Paul Whelan and a number of Americans. The parties have agreed to a prisoner transfer and the prisoners are expected to be in the care of US officials, according to a senior administration official. The deal would end a nightmare that lasted more than five years for Whelan and more than a year for Gershkovich. The former US Marine was sentenced to 16 years in prison on espionage charges he vehemently denies. CNN —The Breakthrough is a project from CNN, Georgetown University, the University of Michigan, SSRS and Verasight. Each week, 1,000 Americans are asked to share what they have seen, read or heard about major presidential candidates in their own words. Results from the two surveys are combined using SSRS’s Encipher Hybrid methodology for blending probability and non-probability samples. Respondents have also been asked the same question about Biden since the start of the project. To develop topics, topic words are manually identified and augmented with words and topics identified using a combination of Noiseless Latent Dirichlet Allocation (NLDA) and Guided Topic-Noise Model (GTM).

Sellers are quickly "losing their grip" on the housing market, according to Capital Economics. That's because home prices are cooling, thanks to more inventory staying on the market. Still, the research firm is forecasting a 5% surge in home prices by the end of the year. That's because higher levels of inventory are starting to weigh on home prices, according to the research firm Capital Economics. It's starting to reverse a trend that's persisted for the past few years, with tight inventory pushing home prices to record highs.
