Harris told reporters that she "found it to be quite bizarre" when Trump said during an all-women Fox News town hall that aired Wednesday morning, "I’m the father of IVF." Elissa Slotkin — raised more than four times as much as their Republican opponents during that period. Trump's team had asked Chutkan to compel prosecutors in special counsel Jack Smith's office to provide them with additional evidence, including "all information" about foreign interference and influence efforts in the 2020 election. It's part of the Trump team's attempt to present Trump's concerns about mass voter fraud — which were roundly rejected by independent arbiters and courts — as "reasonable" and grounded in reality. DETROIT — A judge has approved a $13 million settlement in a lawsuit over an unannounced active shooter drill at a Michigan psychiatric hospital for children, an event that terrified kids and staff and caused them to scramble for cover, text family and urgently call 911. They were barricading the doors, trying to figure out how to protect the children.”Fifty children at the hospital each will receive roughly $60,000. “The state recognized that this was really a bad decision and harmed a lot of people,” she said of the drill. “We regret that our patients, staff and community were negatively affected by the unfortunate incident in December 2022,” she said. Wagner said the drill was organized by the Hawthorn Center’s safety director, who still works for the state.

DETROIT — General Motors has agreed to establish a joint venture with Lithium Americas Corp. that includes the automaker supplying $625 million in cash and credit to the Canadian mining business, the companies announced Wednesday. The deal is centered on the development, construction and operation of a lithium carbonate mining operation called Thacker Pass in Humboldt County, Nevada. Securing raw materials such as lithium from the U.S. is crucial to GM's plans to profitably grow its all-electric vehicle business to meet tightening federal requirements of the vehicles and the large batteries needed to power them. DETROIT — A growing number of Americans with auto loans owe more than their vehicles are worth, according to a report Tuesday from Edmunds.com. Upside-down car loans aren't necessarily dire on their own, but a growing number of consumers being underwater is another indication of pressure on American consumers. Edmunds reports more than one in five consumers with negative equity owe more than $10,000 on their auto loans. That includes 22% of vehicle owners with negative equity who owed $10,000 or more, while 7.5% have negative equity of more than $15,000. Consumers can counter upside-down car loans by holding onto the vehicles for longer periods.
