Kum & Go has 400 locations spread throughout 13 states in the US Midwest and South. Maverik’s acquisition brings the combined number of locations to about 800 and makes it the 12th largest convenience and gas station chain in the United States.

Shell (SHEL) had appealed the previous ruling, handed down in 2021, which ordered the company to slash its CO2 emissions by 45% by 2030 from 2019 levels. That included emissions from its own operations and from the energy products it sells. The most pressing concerns are for convicted rioters required to report to prison before Trump’s inauguration in January, and for rioters with sentencing hearings coming up, according to a source familiar with the discussions. “They’re thrilled with the election, but there’s a lot of uncertainty from their perspective,” the source told CNN. For convicted rioters already serving prison sentences, there’s even less hope to get them out based on Trump’s campaign rhetoric, the source said. CNN —Four separate storm systems are churning their way through the West Pacific simultaneously, a rare occurrence resulting from warmer oceans that threatens to bring more misery to the storm-weary Philippines. Satellite images from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center show the four storms spanning the vast West Pacific basin, from Vietnam to Guam. They are Typhoon Yinxing, Typhoon Toraji, Tropical Storm Usagi and Tropical Storm Man-Yi. The fourth storm on the heels of Usagi is Tropical Storm Man-Yi, which is currently about 430 kilometers (265 miles) east of Rota, Guam. Man-Yi is expected to continue moving west, reaching typhoon strength Friday morning, and could potentially hit the northeastern Philippines by early next week.
