The company had slashed its full-year adjusted operating margin target to 9.4% in July, despite an uptick in U.S. volumes because of the shift. It now expects a full-year operating margin of 9.6%. UPS saw a 6.5% growth in average daily volumes in its domestic segment in the third quarter. Its adjusted operating margin of 8.9% was above last year's 7.7%, on cost cuts.

Grainge, the CEO of Universal Music Group, is going on offense when preparing the major label for an AI wave in music. For example, he's working with YouTube on its "music AI incubator," a program that brings together talent from Universal to gather insights for YouTube's generative AI research. He's setting up AI deals with Endel, SoundLabs, and BandLab. He's partnering with the AI attribution tool ProRata.ai to lay the groundwork to pay content owners for AI-generated materials. The executive also isn't afraid to go to battle over unauthorized generative AI, suing Anthropic and AI music platforms like Suno and Udio around training data, as well as publicly fighting for AI protections in licensing contracts with distributors like TikTok and Meta.

Against this backdrop, Wolfe Research released a basket of stocks that might be impaired under a Trump presidency. These companies would be at risk either under a 10% universal duty or 60% China tariffs. Beauty and cosmetics manufacturer Estée Lauder , down about 40% this year, could also face repercussions under a Trump win. Analyst Angel Castillo's revised price target of $332, down from $349, is approximately 14% lower than where shares closed on Wednesday. Other than these stocks sensitive to tariffs, Wolfe Research also suggested a few other ways to play the election.

We can see the cup-with-handle pattern developing on the daily chart, consisting of a six-month rounded bottoming pattern followed by a brief pullback in the month of October. The key to a cup with handle pattern is the "rim" of the cup, which is essentially a trendline connecting the highs during the price pattern. Other indicators on the chart seem to suggest that an impending breakout is likely, especially the RSI which has been in a bullish range since July of this year. Similar to the daily chart, we can see the weekly RSI has been in a bullish range for the last five years. This continued bullish momentum range suggests a bullish secular trend, reinforcing the upside potential represented on the daily chart.
