A woman’s body was also found in the cemetery with a padlock on her leg and a sickle around the neck, suggesting she was believed to be a vampire. “These are people who, if it was done intentionally, were afraid of … contact with these people because they might bite, drink blood,” Polinski said. The child’s grave was desecrated at some point after burial and all bones removed apart from those in the legs. Archaeologists have found other methods used to stop the living dead, with Polinski describing strange practices found in some burials.

However, Swiss authorities launched proceedings against Infantino himself in 2020 on suspicions of secrecy violations, abuse of office and aiding and abetting related to meetings he held with Lauber. In ending the proceedings, prosecutors said their investigations had “invalidated” such suspicions. Swiss authorities had been investigating contacts between Infantino and Lauber, who resigned as Swiss attorney general after a court concluded he covered up a meeting with the FIFA boss and lied to supervisors while his office investigated corruption at the football body. Seoul, South Korea Reuters —An android robot, EveR 6, took the conductor’s podium in Seoul on Friday evening to lead a performance by South Korea’s national orchestra, marking the first such attempt in the country. The two-armed robot, designed by the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, made its debut at the National Theater of Korea, leading musicians in the country’s national orchestra. “Movements by a conductor are very detailed,” Choi Soo-yeoul, who led Friday’s performance alongside the robot, said. “The robot was able to present such detailed moves much better than I had imagined.”EveR 6 is seen on a screen alongside human conductor Choi Soo-yeoul. CNN —Jose Mourinho wore a microphone to “protect himself” when his AS Roma side faced Monza in May, but he could not resist a dig at the referee after the game and was handed a 10-day touchline ban on Wednesday. Mourinho will miss his team’s Serie A season opener due to the suspension and was also given a 50,000 euros ($54,610) fine for comments made towards referee Daniele Chiffi, the Italian FA said. “I stopped working (talking) 20-30 minutes from the end because I knew he would give me a red card for anything.
