They have been "falsely accusing her of bias against them and of improperly influencing the ongoing bench trial," Engoron wrote. Violating the gag order "shall result in serious sanctions," he added. He has fined Trump a total of $15,000 for twice violating the gag order that was imposed early in the case.

New York Attorney General Letitia James urged the appeals court to reject that request, calling it a "drastic" and baseless move that "would upend an ongoing trial." What began as a seemingly ordinary Wednesday evening in Lewiston, Maine, turned horrific after a gunman entered a bowling alley and a local bar and began shooting, killing 18 people and injuring at least 13 others. On Friday afternoon the authorities in Maine released the names of the dead from Wednesday’s mass shooting incidents. Seven victims died at the Just-in-Time Recreation bowling alley, and eight at Schemengees Bar & Grille about four miles away. The youngest victim in the Lewiston mass shooting was 14 years old, and the oldest was 76. Joseph Walker, who went by Joey, was tending bar at Schemengees when the shooting began.

CNN —Burt Young, a former boxer who found fame playing tough guys in Hollywood, died earlier this month, his daughter Anne Morea Steingieser told the New York Times. Young was best known for his role as Rocky Balboa’s brother-in-law Paulie in the “Rocky” movie franchise. Sylvester Stallone, who starred as Rocky, paid tribute to Young on Wednesday. “I was on the MGM lot when Sly Stallone came over and introduced himself to me, told me he wrote ‘Rocky’ and said ‘you gotta do it,’” Young recalled.
