Some Nevada Republicans say the story demonstrates Brown’s deeper understanding of the complexities of reproductive healthcare in a state where voters guaranteed the right to abortion through a referendum. They also hope it illuminates a gray area that many Republican women feel extends beyond “yes” or “no” answers on abortion rights. She said Nevada Republicans have no desire to overturn the state’s existing protections, unlike in Republican-led states like Texas and South Carolina. She also hopes the Browns’ announcement helps move abortion access, largely a winning issue for Democrats, “off the table” in the Senate race. When left to the states, women in Texas facing the same circumstances today would not have the options his wife had in the state in 2008.

Each facility averages approximately 500,000 square feet — about five times the size of the average Home Depot store. That gives Home Depot a lot of room to grow as it adds capabilities to handle pros' entire orders, he said. SAN ANTONIO (AP) — The bodies of four people were discovered inside a Texas home that was engulfed by flames on Friday, officials said. Firefighters in San Antonio were called to a house fire just after 11 a.m. on the city’s south side. They tried to put out the blaze from the outside “but there was so much fire” when they got there that they focused instead on protecting neighboring homes, said San Antonio Fire Department spokesperson Joe Arrington. “It’s a very dark day for the fire department here,” Arrington said. Two neighboring homes had minor damage from the fire.

More than a century ago, 110 Black soldiers were convicted of murder, mutiny and other crimes at three military trials held at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. Nineteen were hanged, including 13 on a single day, Dec. 11, 1917, in the largest mass execution of American soldiers by the Army. The soldiers’ families spent decades fighting to show that the men had been betrayed by the military. In November, they won a measure of justice when the Army secretary, Christine E. Wormuth, overturned the convictions and acknowledged that the soldiers “were wrongly treated because of their race and were not given fair trials.”On Thursday, several descendants of the soldiers gathered at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery as the Department of Veterans Affairs dedicated new headstones for 17 of the executed servicemen.
