SAO PAULO, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Brazilian meatpacker Minerva (BEEF3.SA) said on Monday it has been informed by Paraguayan authorities of the approval of a health protocol set to open the U.S. market for Paraguayan beef exports. Minerva, which owns four plants in Paraguay, said in a securities filing only final bureaucratic procedures are now required for the exports to be effectively cleared. "That's an important step for the country's beef producers and could open opportunities in other markets that follow similar sanitary standards," the Brazilian company said. Nov 8 (Reuters) - George Russell's engine-related retirement from last Sunday's Sao Paulo Grand Prix will have no knock-on effects for the last two races of the Formula One season, Mercedes said in a team debrief on Wednesday. The Briton was retired at Interlagos as a precaution after rising temperatures in the power unit risked failure and wider damage to the car. Mercedes head of trackside performance Riccardo Musconi said Russell was always scheduled to have a different power unit for Las Vegas and the Abu Dhabi season-ender. "He will be on a different power unit for the final two races so there is no issue from that point of view." Musconi said Hamilton's disqualification from second place in last month's U.S. Grand Prix in Austin for excessive wear of the under-car plank might have contributed to the lack of pace, without being the determining factor.

CNN —17-year-old Real Madrid-bound sensation Endrick has earned a milestone call up to the senior Brazil men’s national team. Interim Canarinha head coach Fernando Diniz announced his squad on Monday for Brazil’s 2026 World Cup qualifier later this month and revealed that the uncapped Endrick will feature in the national team for the first time. In doing so, the Palmeiras breakout star became the youngest player to get a senior Seleção call-up since iconic striker Ronaldo Nazario in 1994. Ronaldo – nicknamed O Fenômeno – is considered one of the greatest soccer players of all time and won the World Cup twice with Brazil. The top six teams automatically qualify for the 2026 World Cup which is being hosted in the US, Canada and Mexico, while the seventh-placed nation must go through a play-off to reach international soccer’s showpiece competition.
