The Times also quoted former employees who believed Sherry-Lehmann was improperly selling clients’ rare bottles from a storage facility to other customers. Witnesses have been asked to appear before a federal grand jury in Manhattan later this month, the former employees said.

Lijuan Chen was arrested on May 24 after the USPS investigated an alleged counterfeit postage scheme. Postal inspectors estimate Chen and her employees shipped over nine million parcels in six months. Chen ran a business shipping parcels for e-commerce sites, including a number in China, the documents say. She faces one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States, and one count of use or possession of counterfeit postage, per the documents. According to an inspector's affidavit, the USPS would have lost $60 million in revenue due to the apparent scheme.

Some popular big cities are losing residents, US Postal Service change-of-address requests indicate. Requests made in 2023 also show that smaller spots outside big cities have tended to gain residents. Smaller spots outside larger urban hubs, meanwhile, are attracting more residents than they're losing. Many people move over the summer to avoid pulling kids out of school midyear, so end-of-year change-of-address data may shed light on other patterns. His conglomerate MMC Corp may sell a stake of up to 30% in MMC Ports, said one of the people, adding that financial investors and companies have approached MMC Corp about their interest in the ports business. A sale could be a precursor to a potential MMC Ports listing on the Malaysian stock exchange in a few years, said the sources. MMC Corp and MMC Ports did not respond to requests seeking comment. MMC Ports has seven ports in Malaysia - Port of Tanjung Pelepas, Johor Port, Northport, Penang Port, Tanjung Bruas Port, SPT Services and Andaman Port, according to its website. MMC Corp also owns stakes in Malaysia's largest independent power producer Malakoff Corp (MALA.KL) and the country's only supplier of reticulated natural gas in Peninsular Malaysia, Gas Malaysia (GASM.KL).
