And then he asserted: “You will no longer be thinking about abortion.”A spokeswoman for the Harris campaign, Sarafina Chitika, said that “women know better.”“He tries to tell us what to think and what we care about,” Ms. Chitika said. On Monday night, he repeated that the court’s ruling returned authority to the states to determine their own limits on abortion, a move that he said that many Americans had favored for decades. “Everyone wanted abortion out of the federal government and into the states,” he said. Mr. Trump also repeated a falsehood that he amplified during his debate against Ms. Harris earlier this month, saying that Democrats had been demanding abortions in the ninth month of a pregnancy or “an execution of a baby after birth.”

Jailers put accused sex trafficker Sean "Diddy" Combs on a "procedural" suicide watch, as the music mogul awaits trial on three felony counts tied to more than a decade of alleged abuse, a source said. The source described this suicide watch as “procedural with high profile clients." Prosecutors accused the famed rapper of using his money and power to arrange for degrading, and at times physically abusive, sex acts called "freak offs." These hours- and days-long sex acts were produced, directed and recorded by Combs who allegedly "threatened and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires,” prosecutors said. Federal agent claimed they seized more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and other lubricants from Combs’ homes that were used in these sex acts.

It won't be an ordinary "Monday Night Football" gameday for Buffalo Bills fans next week. Erie County, where Buffalo sits, is selling the bonds to help fund half the $250 million it agreed to put up for the new stadium. The new stadium will be owned by the Erie County Stadium Corporation and the Bills will pay rent. The Buffalo Bills are 2-0 this season and take on the winless Jaguars on Monday night.

Discovery to form sports streaming service Venu, which promised to offer access to tons of live sports at less than half the cost of traditional cable bundles. Unlike ESPN+, this service will have all of ESPN's content, including Monday Night Football games and shows like "First Take." Disney is doing everything it can to make sure it's not in the same boat — hence its investments in projects like Venu and ESPN Flagship. Despite that drawback, Nollen is optimistic about ESPN Flagship. If ESPN Flagship hits those milestones, it can fully offset the losses from pay TV, which it will — ironically — be partially responsible for.

In the spirit of ESPN's Monday Night Countdown, a word to Federal Reserve Chairman, Jay Powell ... "C'Mon Man!" While the markets have rebounded nicely on Thursday, it seems to me that Federal Reserve chair Jay Powell unnecessarily complicated the outlook for interest rate policy on Wednesday by saying the Fed will decide, meeting by meeting, what to do next. Meanwhile, long-term interest rates, after having fallen for weeks in anticipation of a half-point cut, which the Fed delivered, have actually moved up a bit. I'm not entirely certain but I suspect it's the lack of clear direction on future rate policy that is the culprit. In those days, the Fed was loathe to discuss its actions publicly and only signaled to markets what it had done with respect to interest rate policy a considerable time after the action was undertaken.

Accused sex trafficker Sean "Diddy" Combs was set to return to a New York City courtroom on Wednesday afternoon, where his lawyers will again push for bail and pre-trial freedom from "horrific" jail conditions. Combs came to New York City to surrender to government agents before his arrest, defense lawyers said. Furthermore, Combs said he shouldn't be subjected to rough conditions at a federal lockup in New York City, citing murders and suicides that have occurred in that jail in recent years. "Numerous courts in this district have raised concerns with the horrific conditions of detention here." A grand jury indicted Combs on three felony counts: racketeering, sex trafficking and using transportation to engage in prostitution, court documents showed.

CNN —Sean “Diddy” Combs is expected Wednesday afternoon to appeal a federal judge’s decision to hold the hip-hop artist and music mogul without bail after he pleaded not guilty in federal court to charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution Tuesday. In court, prosecutors argued the music mogul should not be released because he had previously reached out to witnesses and victims. The judge told Combs there were no conditions she could find to assure her that he would appear in court if released. Combs’ lawyer Marc Agnifilo told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on Tuesday night that Combs will likely not take a plea deal. The sex trafficking charge is based on allegations against a single, unnamed “Victim-I” from about 2009 up to about 2018, the indictment states.

Prosecutors in the Southern District of New York accuse Combs of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution in the indictment unsealed Tuesday. “A year ago Sean Combs stood in Times Square and was handed a key to New York City,” he said. The sex trafficking count mentions “Victim-1,” whose interactions with Combs as described in the indictment mirror those described in Ventura’s lawsuit. According to the indictment, Combs attempted to bribe a member of the hotel security staff who had intervened. Since Ventura’s lawsuit, several others have accused Combs in separate lawsuits of sexual assault or sexual misconduct.

A federal judge Monday rejected an effort by former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows to move his Arizona indictment to federal court in a case focused on efforts to overturn Donald Trump's 2020 electoral defeat. U.S. District Judge John J. Tuchi said that Meadows missed a deadline to file his request and "has failed to show good cause that might permit the Court to excuse the untimeliness." An attorney for Meadows did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday night. In April, a state grand jury in Arizona indicted Meadows and two other former Trump aides — Rudy Giuliani and Boris Epshteyn — and several so-called “fake electors” over efforts to overturn Trump's election loss in the state in 2020. Meadows previously lost an attempt to move his Georgia indictment to federal court in a similar case.

Almost 30,000 fans gathered at the St. Andrew’s Stadium on Monday for the League One soccer match, along with some of the biggest stars from sport, film and television in attendance. Brady and McElhenney both traveled to the Birmingham to watch the game, which the host eventually won 3-1. Bitcoin reclaimed $60,000 on Tuesday as investors awaited details of the Federal Reserve's rate cutting plans. Bitcoin "is likely to react to the news of a Fed rate cut with some retrenchment as the short-term market dynamics filter out," said Philipp Pieper, co-founder of Swarm Markets. The market is divided on whether the Fed would reduce rates by 25 or 50 basis points. One basis point equals 0.01%. Investors have been anticipating Fed rate cuts, the growth of bitcoin ETFs and the outcome of the U.S. presidential election as the next catalysts to shake up the crypto market.
