Weird Al, known for taking famous pop and rock songs and sending them up by rewriting the lyrics. It began as a fake movie trailer that director Eric Appel made in 2013 as a sketch for Funny or Die. It featured Aaron Paul, Olivia Wilde, Gary Cole, Mary Steenburgen, Patton Oswalt and yes, Weird Al. Yankovic noted that the day after the trailer came out, “if you did a Google search for Weird Al, the first thing is, ‘Did Weird Al date Madonna?’ Everybody wanted to know. The ironies abound in “ Selena Gomez : My Mind & Me,” a documentary about the child star turned pop idol and writer-performer of the self-care anthem. “Who says you’re not worth it?” Were she asking herself, the answer would be “Selena Gomez.” She is startlingly candid about her physical and mental health and the rigors of celebrity itself. But for all the media scrutiny and TMZ-style reportage that plague her, had Ms. Gomez lived in another era—say, that of Marilyn Monroe —her crippling self-doubt, insecurities and depression might have been suffered in private, or been covered up, and tragedy might have ensued. Early on we get an avalanche of highly stylized, black-and-white concert footage, which is exhilarating stuff. But it also makes one realize that with an ample trove of chaotic images and sound—plus some expert editing—you could fashion a horror-thriller sequence about anybody and anything.
It’s easy to downplay the courage it takes for celebrities to let down their guard and acknowledge their frailties or fallibility, revealing a side of herself the public doesn’t always see. That alone makes the message significant – a point underscored by the jetsetter parts of Gomez’s life on display here – and if it helps one person, more power to her. Still, if Gomez chafes, understandably, at feeling like “a product,” “My Mind & Me” doesn’t escape the notion that it’s leveraging that fame, and the product-like part of her existence, in order to sell it. “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me” premieres November 4 on Apple TV+. 'Weird: The Al Yankovic Story' review

CNN —“Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” certainly earns its title, operating, appropriately, not as an actual movie biography but an outlandish parody of one, filled with comedy cameos and bizarre flights of fancy. The amusing conceit behind the entire project – expanding upon a spoof movie trailer released in 2010 – is that a Weird Al biopic functions like one of his chart-topping songs, taking the form of the genre but turning it on its head. Directed by Eric Appel (who produced the aforementioned short, and shares script credit with Yankovic, who also has a cameo), “Weird” is produced through the folks at Funny or Die. Yet even allowing for the fact that “Weird” isn’t much more than a snack, as the man in question sang, just eat it. “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” premieres November 4 on the Roku Channel.
To coincide with the release of the documentary, Selena Gomez released her new song "My Mind & Me" on November 3. How to watch 'Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me'You can now watch "Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me" exclusively on Apple TV Plus. Apple TV Plus is compatible with most smart TVs, Apple and Android mobile devices, Apple TV, video game consoles, and Roku and Fire TV products. You can watch "Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me" free with an Apple TV Plus trial. As of November 4, "Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me" holds a "93% Fresh" score on the review-aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes.

Numbers don’t lie (Madonna is one of the bestselling pop stars of all time), but they don’t often tell the whole story. Without question, I view Madonna as someone who pushed the boundaries of overtly and unabashedly sexual performances in popular culture. But Black artists often get excised from predominating narratives about U.S. popular culture. But Black artists often get excised from predominating narratives about U.S. popular culture. The risks were much higher for the Black women and the Black and Latinx queer people across genders who chose to be sexually provocative entertainers.

CNN —Three decades after the release of her “Erotica” album and her lurid coffee table book “Sex,” Madonna reflected on the changing standards on how women are allowed to talk about sex in an Instagram story. A viral video of gay icon Madonna appearing to suggest that she is gay herself has taken the internet by storm. During an interview on Andy Cohen’s talk show “Watch What Happens Live!” Mizrahi suggested Bernhard and Madonna at one point had a sexual relationship. “The gay community has been incredibly supportive of me,” she told Ellen DeGeneres during a 2010 interview in which she sounded the alarm about a rise in suicides among gay teenagers. Madonna’s video resembles another recent TikTok from actress Shay Mitchell, who played a lesbian in the teen drama “Pretty Little Liars,” in which Mitchell seems to come out as bisexual. Representatives for Madonna did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment.

The pair are also pretty affectionate in the music video for “Hung Up on Tokischa,” which is a remix of Madonna’s 2005 single “Hung Up.”Madonna has long been viewed as an ally of the LGBTQ+ community.
