Washington, DC CNN —First lady Dr. Jill Biden isn’t holding back as her role in her husband’s reelection campaign comes into sharper focus. The first lady is juggling her campaign work with her official role and her full-time teaching job at Northern Virginia Community College. She’s going to go to a variety of areas in this country,” a source familiar with the planning said. Biden campaign advisers believe the first lady’s appeal has far reach – particularly with women and grassroots supporters and in moderate parts of the country. “Here’s the thing about men like Donald Trump - they underestimate our power because they don’t understand it,” she said in Atlanta.

The Israeli military on Thursday raided the largest hospital still functioning in the Gaza Strip, in what it called a search for Hamas fighters and the bodies of hostages. Many people who had sought shelter there were forced to flee from combat once again. The specific casualty claims, like many assertions in the conflict, could not be immediately confirmed. One video, verified by The New York Times, showed damage to the hospital and injured people being rushed through a smoke-filled corridor among debris amid sounds of gunfire. Witnesses said people by the hundreds — possibly thousands — later stood in long lines as Israeli troops screened them, a few at a time, for evacuation.

High rollers dine on all-you-can-eat buffets and the champagne flows in V.I.P. Some of the fans considered traveling to Las Vegas, where the Super Bowl was played for the first time this year. But they did not want to battle the crowds only to pay daunting prices for hotels and meals. We expect another year of strong earnings growth from this best-of-breed industrial stock. Quarterly results As we can see in the chart below, this was an all-around strong quarter for Linde. In APAC (27.6% of sales), growth was led by end markets in chemicals, energy, and manufacturing. Updated expectations are for a mild recovery in a few end markets in China for the first half of 2024. EMEA (29.3% of sales) showed growth across all "resilient" end markets, which Linde defines as more consumer-related (healthcare, food and beverage, and electronics), while industrial end markets (manufacturing, chemicals and energy, and metals and mining) lagged.

In another episode, the cantankerous Mr. David realizes that wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat around liberal Los Angeles gets him out of many unwanted meetings and interactions.
