Why EV charging is still such a pain

Power show that, despite more and more EV chargers being available, EV owners are actually getting less satisfied with public charging. When it comes to consumer satisfaction, EV charging is in some very poor corporate company. Away from home, charging your EV costs more than charging at home, sometimes twice as much. I’m a big fan of Augustinus Bader’s The Light Cream and then Merit’s Great Skin Instant Glow Serum, which is very subtle. At the end of the day, I use a gel cleanser from Oskia called the Renaissance Cleansing Gel. I love using a muslin cloth for a deep cleanse. I’m a real bath girl, and there’s an Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser that I love; it has the best smell. When I was pregnant I discovered the brand Mutha, and I think their Body Butter and Body Oil are the best.

Rick Samuels, 71 — Portland, OR — Tesla Model 3Rick Samuels, retired from the IT industry, drives a Tesla and a Nissan Leaf. I was commuting 30 miles a day, which was an ideal range for a first-generation Leaf. Last fall, we took our first real road trip, and that's when we found out how abysmally bad public charging infrastructure is. We have taken several trips in the Tesla and never had a problem charging. I tell people that if it's going to be your main car for trips, the only electric car I would get right now is a Tesla.

He had eight catches for 130 yards and two TDs last week to set an NFL record with his sixth straight game with at least 125 yards receiving. Brown has 831 yards in his last six games and is currently on pace for 1,995 — slightly ahead of Johnson's record. Mahomes had won 13 straight games in the division, one shy of the longest streak since the merger held by Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck. Mahomes also saw an end to his streak of 35 straight games in the regular season or playoffs with at least one TD pass. The Panthers had lost 56 straight games when they trailed at any point in the fourth quarter for the longest streak since at least 1991.

I was a baking-and-pastry devotee and did not yet have the experience of working among ornery savory chefs with their own idols and heroes. Ms. Lewis was as savory a chef as I had studied at that point, but I mostly focused on her pies, cakes and breads. Back then, I regretted when savory chefs commandeered the dessert menu. This is the trademark of pastry chefs of my generation. We have been brought up in both worlds, learning the rules and then adjusting to our moment and materials, as savory chefs do.

CNN —A section of the Blue Ridge Parkway has been closed by officials “after multiple documented reports of visitors feeding and attempting to hold a young bear in recent weeks,” the National Park Service said in a news release. The section closed on Monday “until further notice.”“When people intentionally attract bears with trash and food it can lead to very dangerous situations. The safety tips instruct visitors not to feed bears and to properly store all food. The Blue Ridge Parkway is the most-visited of the National Park Service’s 425 sites, according to 2022 figures. So how did a species of leaf-eared mouse make this barren land their home? The mice, called Phyllotis vaccarum, are commonly found living in the Andes mountains at lower elevations, all the way down to sea level. In 2020, a living mouse was recorded at the summit of Llullaillaco, a volcano with an elevation of 6,739 meters (about 22,110 feet) on the border of Chile. The discovery of the living mouse spurred Storz to conduct expeditions at 21 different volcanoes. Freeze-dried mouse mummiesWhile the conditions are not ideal for living creatures, they create perfect conditions for preservation, as the mice are essentially freeze dried, Storz said.

HONOLULU (AP) — Maui police held a news conference on Monday to show 16 minutes of body camera footage taken the day a wildfire tore through Lahaina town in August, including video of officers rescuing 15 people from a coffee shop and taking a severely burned man to a hospital. Earlier this month, Maui County provided the AP with 911 call recordings in response to an open records request. Officers ushered out 15 people from the coffee shop as smoke swirled in the sky around them, loaded the group into police SUVs and took them to the Lahaina Civic Center. In another clip, an officer finds a badly burned man at a shopping center and put him in the back seat of his patrol car. The fast-moving wildfire on Aug. 8 killed at least 99 people and burned more than 2,000 structures.

It was the restaurant where we first witnessed a frozen torchon of foie gras being shaved to make a mountain of salty pink snow. Where we had our first spoonful of panna cotta that tasted like the milk in the bottom of a bowl of cornflakes. Rational people began to blame their inability to score on nefarious bots and scalpers, a preview of things to come. Behind this was Mr. Chang’s hunch that the paraphernalia of fine dining — not just white tablecloths but maybe even tables themselves — had become clunky and dated. “Cook’s prices,” as Mr. Chang was heard to say.

Thirteen mouse mummies were found atop volcanoes in Chile and Argentina about 20,000 feet above sea level. The discovery has baffled scientists who did not think mammals could live at such high elevations. The species is known to live at high elevations, but baffled scientists at more than 20,000 feet. The scientists are now looking for signs of physiological adaptations that may allow these mice to survive at high elevations with low oxygen levels. Storz's team is also continuing to search the volcano tops for signs of mice, living or mummified.

"The thing is, Bazball is in test cricket. "We've been playing aggressive cricket throughout since 2015 and done it quite well. Probably the lack of that way of cricket has cost us a little bit in this tournament. "We haven't been playing that way in my opinion and we need to play that way without slogging the ball.

It’s a message ringing clear at the Tokyo Mobility Show, which will run through Nov. 5 at Tokyo Big Sight hall and where battery-powered electric vehicles are the star at practically every booth. Toyota Motor Corp.’s lean angular Lexus concept, set to go on sale in 2026, is an electric vehicle running on lithium-ion batteries. That is partly because of Toyota’s past success in hybrids, exemplified in the Prius, which have a gasoline engine in addition to an electric motor. In China, a third of vehicles sold are EVs. Nissan, an early EV maker among the Japanese with its Leaf going on sale in 2010, is showcasing four EV concept cars.

Toyota Motor Corporation's cars are seen at a briefing on the company's strategies on battery EVs in Tokyo, Japan December 14, 2021. The Japan Mobility Show, which opens on Thursday, comes at a critical moment for the domestic industry. Toyota (7203.T), the world's top-selling automaker, this year announced a strategic pivot to battery EVs, including plans to commercialise advanced batteries and adopt die-casting technology pioneered by Tesla (TSLA.O). Toyota's shift has helped silence criticism that it was too slow to embrace battery EVs. In contrast to the darkening outlook in Japan, data from the ASEAN Automotive Federation shows that the auto market in Southeast Asia has been growing.

It's a reminder of the power and potential of Nigeria's rapidly growing film industry. It is the world's second-largest film industry after India based on number of productions, with an average of 2,000 movies released annually. The movie also has been lauded as signifying the potential of the film industry in Nigeria as well as across Africa. In Nigeria, the movie industry is at “the point right now where the world needs to take notice,” Effiong said. I have no interest in being 'Minister Number 38' in the cabinet and serve as a fig leaf," Lieberman said in a social-media post. 5: Take photos with context. “Don’t just take a passing photo of the leaves on the tree,” said Anthony Quintano. Instead, he suggests searching for objects—a barn, an animal, a person—to create scenes that add context and relate a story or mood. When he does want to zero in, Quintano looks out for details like raindrops pooled on colorful foliage or the filigree veining that makes every leaf unique. Smartphones can actually excel in tight quarters, he said.
