In a Tuesday interview with CNBC's Jim Cramer, Mattel CEO Ynon Kreiz didn't address a reported takeover offer, and instead said he's positive about the Barbie maker's success as its own company. "What I can say is that we're very confident in Mattel's strategy and our ability to create long-term shareholder value as a standalone company." Despite the monster success of the Barbie movie last summer, Mattel's share price has declined over the past several months. But Kreiz said he was confident in the Barbie brand, saying Mattel's share price doesn't "reflect the success we've had to date" or "future potential." "So we are well-positioned to build on this multi-year trajectory, and continue to execute our strategy, and expect the share price to reflect this over time."

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Tuesday discussed consumer behavior, saying many are fed up with high prices of certain companies' products and services, such as those in the airline or retail business. They are pushing back on high prices, they are demanding bargains," he said. To Cramer, the travel and leisure bull market might be over, noting that many airlines have recently reported disappointing quarters. Cramer suggested that consumers maybe "aren't flocking to cruises as much as they're fleeing from higher hotel prices." And she's exacting, not revenge travel, but revenge against all who've kept prices high."'

Torm: "...It has a remarkably high dividend yield. And as long as it has that dividend yield, the stock's going to stay up. But, when things start going bad, and they always do in this business, that yield's going to start going down...Be aware, right now, still going up. But these things are slopes, and they just get crushed when that dividend goes down, yield will go down with it."
But now it has to retool to elect Kamala Harris, who’s a Black and South Asian woman in the year 2024,” said one aide at campaign headquarters. Never have the people on what was, until Sunday afternoon, the very small core team around Harris felt so popular. That, they know, has to change immediately, but will happen as Harris’ staff is asked to step in. Retaining hard fought Harris equilibriumLike Biden, Harris doesn’t have a history of running great or well-functioning campaigns, whether that was her Senate race in 2016 or her 2020 presidential run that didn’t even survive until December of 2019. So at least for now, the campaign staff are trying to hold to a line that deputy campaign manager and digital outreach specialist Rob Flaherty used on a call Monday afternoon that senior staff held.

In a Monday interview with CNBC's Jim Cramer, Domino's Pizza CEO Russell Weiner discussed weakened guidance the company gave last week for its international business. The company said this is largely due to weakness in Domino's Pizza Enterprises, its largest international franchisee with stores that operate in Australia, New Zealand, France and the Netherlands, among other countries. According to Weiner, Domino's business in the U.S. is strong, and "value has never been higher," with increased orders on "on our delivery business, carry out business, every single income segment." "There are some people who don't like Domino's pizza. "And so, this is a great product for those folks, and we're bringing incremental eaters into Domino's Pizza."

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Monday told investors how a possible Kamala Harris administration might affect the market, suggesting her policies would be better for megacaps and international outfits. "If you own many stocks of international companies and you want to vote your portfolio, Harris is more likely to help than hurt. After President Joe Biden bowed out of the 2024 race, he backed Vice President Harris for the Democratic nomination. According to Cramer, Biden seemed to hold the belief that "big business is bad business," but Harris may have a "more nuanced approach." Cramer said he could see Harris having close communication with Big Tech leaders.

Read previewIn a stunning turnaround, President Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he is withdrawing his candidacy for reelection in 2024. Biden on Sunday also endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to succeed him in the Oval Office. In the days following the debate, Biden faced growing pressure to step aside, with an increasing number of Democratic politicians urging the 81-year-old president to do so. Polling had long shown Biden trailing Trump both nationally and in key swing states, and the debate represented a key opportunity for the president to turn the race around.

Cramer asked Bettinger whether his company still had an issue with cash shorting, as was suggested by a Thursday story from Barron's. Cash shorting, which occurs when depositors move funds form lower-paying accounts to high-yield ones, plagued Schwab last year, according to Barron's. But Bettinger suggested that cash shorting is not a significant issue. As an investment advisor, Bettinger said Schwab ensures that their clients' cash goes into a high-yielding money market fund. At Thursday's close, Schwab shares were down more than 17% for the week so far.

As megacaps continue to decline, CNBC's Jim Cramer said he remains optimistic about their prospects in the long run. "You just need to get over the hump, a hump that periodically scares people out of this whole asset class." Cramer said he always encourages investors take profits on winners when they can, otherwise it's possible to "get obliterated." And owning losers can feel more difficult than owning winners because it's more obvious why the latter might be on the decline, he added. Cramer said the arguments against these stocks are "for real," but similar to what has been said about them for years.

After First Horizon posted an earnings miss Wednesday morning, the regional bank's CEO Bryan Jordan told CNBC's Jim Cramer there is stiff competition in the industry that could continue for the rest of the year. It tends to be very aggressive for money market and CD deposit rates," Jordan said. "We see a lot of specials in the marketplace, and what we experienced this quarter was a little bit of a shift in what we'd seen in previous quarters." Jordan continued, saying this competition "drove a little bit of an increase in costs," as First Horizon matched rates for customers, raising the cost of deposits. "I think when those two questions get resolved, the economy ought to star to accelerate, loan demand ought to pick up a little bit," he said.

As buyers continued to cycle out of tech on Wednesday, CNBC's Jim Cramer reminded investors of his classic adage: Keep a diverse portfolio. Owning stocks from different sectors makes it easier to shoulder losses when one part of the market takes a nosedive, according to Cramer. Mega-cap tech stocks related to artificial intelligence swept the market during the first half of the year. But now Wall Street is clamoring for small and medium-sized businesses, especially ones that would benefit from interest rate cuts — which could be on the horizon as inflation slows. To Cramer, many on Wall Street sell great stocks out of fear or panic, which sometimes creates solid buying opportunities.

Around the dinner table in the early 2000s, David Katzman would quiz his kids about their dream startups. ModelFit employees told BI that Gelband used the Pelvicore Pro only with the permission of its creator, the physical therapist Christina Christie. Once, in October 2018, David Katzman met with Facebook's ad team to discuss SDC's before-and-after advertisements, which violated the tech company's policies. SDC employees worked on Pvolve marketing campaigns, and Pvolve employees took trips on David Katzman's jet. "He didn't come from anything, and he spent years and years building up the business," the person close to Pasterino told BI.

CNBC's Jim Cramer on Tuesday pointed out that there is a discrepancy between the economy's performance and the general sense of pessimism that many Americans feel towards the economy. "The market, which reflects the reality of the economy, is benefitting plenty of people, but not nearly enough to change the mood of the nation," he said. Cramer first attributed this pessimism to the chaos of this year's presidential election. The "anger and ugliness in Washington" seeps into every aspect of life, Cramer said. People really feel the weight of high prices at supermarkets, he said, even if wages are solid and jobs aren't extremely hard to find.

"After this weekend, it sure seems like the Trump stocks are back," he said. "Just keep in mind that plenty of companies are great enough to transcend politics, and sometimes what counts as a Trump stock can change on a dime." Trump will likely be more lenient when it comes to mergers and acquisitions than Biden, according to Cramer. According to Cramer, investors may want to avoid stocks related to saving the environment, as Trump doesn't believe in those measures. "Eight years ago, in a moment gripped by political fever, I put a button on my sound board that said 'trump stock, trump stock,' he said.

Donald Trump is on a winning streak, which is all the more remarkable because he's barely played the game. He's in the strongest position any Republican presidential hopeful has been in July since George W. Bush in 2000. AdvertisementSince the debate, Biden has faced almost daily onslaught of Democrats calling him to step aside. Even as he's refrained from rallies, he's still ranting on social media. Trump also handed Biden's campaign a major gift by offering one of his signature "I don't know them" denials about Project 2025.
