Following the trade, Jim Cramer's Charitable Trust will no longer own a position in Procter & Gamble. Shares of P & G have had a good run this year, rallying 14% on top of three dividend payments collected along the way. As we pointed out in a recent trim , P & G rose to new highs at the start of September when the market rotated into defensive stocks. Against that backdrop, we see less need to hold onto traditional slowdown stocks like P & G that don't have enough growth to satisfy their valuations. Due to this premium, we don't think P & G has the potential upside we seek in the portfolio.

A couple of analyst downgrades are making the rounds Monday on megacap stocks that rarely see ratings cuts: Apple and Amazon. At Jefferies, analysts downgraded Apple to a hold but increased the price target to $213 apiece from $205. It also presents a problem for investors who see the downgrades as a reason to sell some shares. After all, you'll be hard-pressed to find companies anywhere more in charge of their own destinies than Apple, Amazon — or any of the Super Six (Meta, Nvidia, Alphabet, Microsoft). Apple and Amazon aren't where they are because of luck, but rather because they make their own luck.

Jim Cramer is planning to stay in the game with Constellation Brands , despite a Wall Street firm moving to the sidelines on the Mexican beer importer. Shares of New York-based Constellation Brands fell 1.5% Monday, off their lows of the session. In the June-to-August period reported Thursday, beer sales rose 6%, compared with increases of 8%, 11% and 11.8% in its three prior quarters. In explaining why we're sticking with Constellation, Jim said Monday he liked what he heard from Constellation Brands CEO Bill Newlands during the executive's appearance Friday on "Mad Money." This uptick coincided with increased marketing spending behind its top beer brands, Newlands said.

After all of these years, after all of the rather incredible rallies and gains in the stock market from so many groups, the typical morning still starts with a bevy of negativity. We hear about OpenAI and its brilliant $167 billion valuation , but we don't see any stock available to public-market investors. I have been furious at myself for thinking the Chinese government couldn't do anything about the country's struggling stock market. The Chinese stock market has been rallying nicely since the stimulus announcements. Jim waits 45 minutes after sending a trade alert before buying or selling a stock in his charitable trust's portfolio.
