Royal Caribbean's upcoming Icon of the Seas mega ship will have updated crew-only spaces. The Windjammer buffet will have a live cooking station while the game room will have virtual reality games. The most attractive spaces — whether it be water slides or sushi restaurants — aboard cruise ships are typically reserved for guests, not crew. While workers-only spaces on Royal Caribbean's upcoming Icon of the Seas cruise ship still won't have the same amenities guests have, the future floating city's four-deck crew "neighborhood" will at least receive an upgrade. Singapore-based Nestron's tiny home has arrived in Surrey, Canada, its first North American shipment. Loading Something is loading. It's hard to miss the renderings of Nestron's futuristic prefabricated tiny homes, which the company has promised will be equipped with an artificial intelligence system, built-in furniture, and more for generally under $100,000. But for most North American customers, these homes have been nothing more than a rendering. But unlike other cruise lines, Royal Caribbean isn't just setting up a fancy water park and fun children clubs to entice this demographic. When reservations first opened for the nearly 1,200-foot-long ship, Royal Caribbean saw its strongest booking day in the company's history.
