A video shows a lemur picking its nose, a behavior never before observed by scientists. The animal shoves one of her long agile fingers all the way up her nose to her throat. The video shows Kali, an aye-aye living in the Duke Lemur Center in North Carolina, shoving her 3-inch long finger all the way up her nose, taking it out again, and licking it. Ukraine has been aided by the delivery of sophisticated air defence systems from allies including the first of four IRIS-T air defence systems from Germany.

"Russia understood that Ukraine has a powerful energy system, and therefore ... attacked distribution substations, which connected (different) regions," Podolyak said. He also ruled out retaliatory strikes on Russian energy infrastructure. Total sight deposits, which include other deposits on sight in Swiss francs, declined to 639.332 billion francs from 669.585 billion francs in the previous week. The SNB raised its policy rate to 0.5% last month as it sought to battle inflation in Switzerland. "At 0,445% the SARON today is not that far away from the official policy rate such that further interventions through bills or repos don't seem that urgent," he said.

The Indonesian navy has said it never requests or receives money to release vessels. Ledoux, 57, questioned why more wasn't being done by ship owners and governments to raise awareness of the issue. An Indonesian navy spokesman did not respond to a request for comment. Reuters has not seen what evidence was presented at the trial to prove the ship was in Indonesian waters.

The increase to 0.5%, from minus 0.25%, followed a 50 basis point hike in June from minus 0.75%, the SNB's first rate hike in 15 years. The SNB originally imposed negative rates in December 2014 and lowered them again in January 2015 to minus 0.75%. Negative rates were unpopular among Swiss banks, who saw them as a charge on their activities and also reduced lending margins. The Swiss Bankers Association said negative rates meant the country's lenders had borne the brunt of the fight against the appreciating franc.

American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines have exited 74 airports since 2020. Some of the airports are in the Essential Air Service program and are now served by a new airline. In September 2022, the company's research revealed American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines had exited 59 airports. In total, American has left 19 airports, Delta has exited 17, and United has departed 38. American, Delta, and United have all cut routes in recent months, citing poor performance and the pilot shortage as contributing factors.

A new analysis found the Norwegian capital, Oslo, to be the world's best city for work-life balance. The top six cities for work-life balance as determined by the software company Kisi were all European, and no US city ranked in the top 10. According to Kisi's data, workers in Oslo take on average 25 days of vacation a year and get 707 days of paid parental leave. The city also scored highly for remote working, quality and availability of healthcare, and air quality. The surge in remote working means some people have used the past two years as an opportunity to relocate.
