His young son Steve Allen Lewis drowned in 1962 and another son, Jerry Lee Jr., died in a 1973 car accident at 19. In his later years he settled down but biographer Rick Bragg recalled interviewing Lewis for his 2014 book "Jerry Lee Lewis: His Own Words." "I don't think Jerry Lee Lewis had to exaggerate his life one bit to make it interesting," Bragg told the Atlanta Constitution Journal.

American is the latest airline to provide an upbeat forecast even as a worsening economic outlook has sparked worries about travel spending. Carriers, however, say an unquenched thirst for travel, hybrid work arrangements and limited airline capacity would keep their business humming. American said demand for domestic and short-haul international travel is "very strong", and lifting of travel restrictions and testing requirements around the globe are expected to further drive up long-haul international traffic. Adjusted profit for the third quarter came in at 69 cents per share, topping analysts' expectations of 56 cents a share.

Parler, which launched in 2018, has been reinstated on Google and Apple Inc's app stores after being removed following the U.S. Capitol riots in January 2021. Parler is one of several social media platforms, including Gettr, Gab and Truth Social, that position themselves as free-speech alternatives to Twitter Inc (TWTR.N).
