The crypto industry has spent tens of millions on pro-crypto candidates this election cycle. Crypto companies, executives, and super PACs have spent huge sums this election cycle, outspending even perennial big spenders like the Koch family, according to Federal Election Commission filings. The crypto industry has outspent every other industry, injecting almost $120 million into federal races as of August, according to OpenSecrets, a nonprofit that tracks campaign spending. AdvertisementTrump, who once called crypto a scam, has more recently fueled hope that he'd be good for crypto entrepreneurs. Richardson said Exodus also donated $1.3 million to Stand With Crypto, an advocacy organization that focuses on voter registration and informing people about political candidates who support crypto.

Now, young men have emerged as a voting bloc that could potentially swing an election expected to see a razor-thin margin of victory for the candidate who wins. The trend has been especially pronounced among young men of color. Adding to the complexity is that younger men have actually experienced solid economic gains, at least on paper, during the Biden administration. Yet, some young men continue to express concerns about making ends meet, and say they consider current immigration policies to be an obstacle to their upward mobility. In the University of Chicago GenForward poll, young men named “economic growth” as their No.1 issue, with inflation not far behind.

Still, if in Biden’s mind a worst-case scenario was prevented, the larger knot that is the Middle East conflict remains as firmly gnarled as ever. Biden and Harris joined a call Saturday with their national security team and were briefed on the the latest developments in the region according to the White House. But few believe there will be any resolution before the November 5 US presidential election, leaving Biden and Harris’ inability to bring stability to the region a serious political liability. ByteDance's publishing company, 8th Note Press, plans to release physical books. After the monumental success of "BookTok" — a community of bibliophiles on the platform that discusses books and shares what they are reading — TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, started publishing digital books through its publishing company, 8th Note Press, last year. 8th Note Press is now teaming up with Zando, an independent publishing company, to release a line of print novels to sell in retail stores starting in 2025. "This partnership marks an exciting new chapter for 8th Note Press," Jacob Bronstein, head of editorial and marketing, told Business Insider in a statement. As Elon Musk continues to aggressively share conspiracy theories and misinformation about elections on X, election officials are fighting back. In three instances in the last month, Musk's posts highlighting election misinformation have been viewed over 200 times more than fact-checking posts correcting those claims that have been published on X by government officials or accounts. False claims he has posted this month routinely receive tens of millions of views, by X’s metrics, while rebuttals from election officials usually receive only tens or hundreds of thousands. “He is at least implicitly telling people: don’t trust the people that are running elections, trust me, trust x.com, trust Donald Trump. “You’re constantly building up a kind of armor against rationality, against fact-finding, and against the idea that election officials and responsible media can even be credible,” he said.

Currently, voting is going well in western North Carolina,” Harris said before pointing blame at Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., for voicing doubts about whether he would vote to certify a Trump election victory if there are anomalies. What happens when Elon Musk, Joe Rogan, Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson all call on this? “It’s really important to understand the mainstream Republican goal — to make Donald Trump President whether or not he wins the election,” tweeted Sen. And on Thursday, Harris delivered an unscheduled speech focused on former Trump chief of staff John Kelly confirming Trump praised Adolf Hitler’s generals. The Harris campaign argues that the plan will tip some final undecided voters — a chunk of which are disaffected Republicans or independents. The Harris campaign says it is also focused on understanding what messaging could impact the small number of undecided voters that remain in key battleground states. “The two most motivating messages for Democratic turnout are those around abortion and democracy.”Some Harris campaign officials echoed that argument. Still, some Democrats who have worked with Harris worry there is too much focus on Trump and not on Harris’ unique skills and vision.

She had gone to lunch five days earlier with her fiancé at their local McDonald’s in North Platte, Nebraska. A McDonald’s spokesperson said Wednesday that slivered onions served on the Quarter Pounders were likely to have been responsible for the outbreak. On Thursday, the company said one of its suppliers, Taylor Farms, had provided slivered onions to locations associated with the outbreak. “When you go to a restaurant, you are trusting that the restaurant did everything they could do to make you safe, but in this case, McDonald’s breached that trust,” Simon said. CNN —Beyoncé will appear alongside Vice President Kamala Harris at a rally Friday in Houston, a person familiar with the planning tells CNN, the first joint appearance with the music icon whose anthem has been the soundtrack of the Harris campaign. The appearance, in which Beyoncé will appear with Willie Nelson, is designed to be one of the biggest closing acts of the campaign.
