The firm’s role will be to help creditors — particularly overseas investors who made loans to Evergrande — get some of their money back.

CNN —House Republicans on Sunday released two articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, laying out their allegations that the cabinet secretary committed “high crimes and misdemeanors” ahead of a committee vote later this week. The first article charges Mayorkas with “willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law” and House Republicans allege in the second article that Mayorkas has “breached the public trust” by allegedly making “false statements.”The Homeland Security Committee will meet Tuesday to mark up the articles. That should come as no surprise because Republicans’ so-called ‘investigation’ of Secretary Mayorkas has been a remarkably fact-free affair,” Thompson said in a statement. Secretary Mayorkas is enforcing and utilizing the law to safeguard our homeland exactly as every one of his predecessors did,” the memo reads. If the Homeland Security secretary is impeached, it would be an exceedingly rare event.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — A federal jury in South Dakota has convicted two men on charges related to the 2022 kidnapping of an FBI employee. The jury in Rapid City on Tuesday found 29-year-old Deyvin Morales and 25-year-old Juan Alvarez-Soto guilty of kidnapping, carjacking and other counts, the Rapid City Journal reported. The church is a way station for migrants as most wait for unpredictable appointments with U.S. border agents through a mobile phone app. DHS did not share overall wait times and it is unclear if they have lengthened or shortened since then. Arriving at the church earlier this week, 30-year-old Venezuelan migrant Alejandro Urbina explained near his tent that he logs onto the app every day. Reverend Benito Torres, the church's pastor, explained that the Christian imperative to help the most vulnerable is what motivates him.

Another said assets sales may come from its software businesses but suggested these might not be sizeable enough to revitalise its shares. Other French banks could also partner with Credit Agricole for a role in Worldline's future, this person added. Bloomberg first reported Credit Agricole's interest in buying a stake in Worldline, prompting its shares to soar by almost 12% earlier on Friday.
