Thank goodness for urgent care centers. We found an urgent care at the end of a strip mall in Chicago, and 20 minutes later we received the good news that there was only a sprain. When I inquired about the bill, I was told that the center was hospital-affiliated and as such, is allowed to charge hospital prices. It turns out that I’d stumbled into a lucrative corner of the health care market called hospital outpatient departments, or HOPDs. They do some of the same outpatient care — colonoscopies, X-rays, medication injections — just as doctors’ offices and clinics do.

Abercrombie & Fitch has transformed itself from a dying mall brand into a Wall Street darling after spending years revamping its product assortment, overhauling its supply chain and rebranding as an inclusive retailer. New York CNN —Red Lobster wants to close several dozen more restaurants following its bankruptcy, and it has identified which ones are in danger of shutting down if the court approves its plan. The chain, which brought affordable shrimp and lobster to middle-class America and grew to become the largest seafood restaurant chain in the world, filed for bankruptcy last month. Red Lobster said that it had more than $1 billion in debt and less than $30 million in cash on hand. Part of its plan is to close some locations of its nearly 600 restaurants in the meantime. A few weeks prior to its bankruptcy, it abruptly closed around 50 locations across the United States.

Spanning 12 million square feet of floor space, the mall is also connected to the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest skyscraper. The mall's developer, Emaar Properties this week announced the building's expansion plan, which will add 240 new luxury stores and food and drink venues. "The new Dubai Mall expansion is a great addition to one of the most visited sites in the world," Mohamed Alabbar, Emaar founder, said in a statement.

Choe joined Lululemon more than seven years ago and became chief product officer in 2018, according to her LinkedIn. “I think that there’s a lot of people out there who believe that she was the person behind the scenes and was the most instrumental to Lululemon’s success,” Nikic said. Lulu has been “hyper aware” of dupe culture, Nikki Neuburger, then its Chief Brand Officer, previously said in an interview with CNN Business. However, Lululemon wasn’t stocked enough in these smaller sizes, which could have led these younger shoppers to competitors, Nikic said.

United Arab Emirates real estate developer Emaar Properties announced Monday plans for a 1.5 billion dirham ($408 million) expansion of Dubai Mall. The 12-million-square-foot mall is already the largest shopping center in the world by total area, and the expansion will add a further 240 luxury stores, along with new food outlets. Emaar PropertiesLast year, Dubai welcomed a record number of tourists, and the mall says it received 105 million visitors last year, up 19% from 2022. Government initiatives including the Dubai Shopping Festival — launched in 1996 — have given the emirate a reputation for offering a premium shopping experience across dozens of malls.

A longtime bearish analyst on Best Buy has jumped over to our side the debate after its head-turning earnings report last week. Barry said Best Buy expects to have the largest assortment of AI PCs on sale later this month from brands such as Dell, Microsoft and HP, with "more than 40% of the assortment retail exclusive to Best Buy." Based on Monday's prices, Best Buy would need to gain nearly 59% to take out its old highs. Considering the innovation pipeline ahead, Citi analysts are optimistic Best Buy shares can go even higher.
