Pennsylvania resident Naomi Whitehead, 114, was recently crowned the oldest living American. She earned the title as the oldest living person in America following the death of 115-year-old Elizabeth Francis last month. Whitehead grew up on a farm, and "picked cotton and tobacco," she told New Castle News last year. Though regular exercise wasn't ever important to Whitehead, her daily strenuous physical activity was "plowing in the field," she told YouTuber Jack Gordon in an interview. Whitehead's responses to Gordon's questions were typically just a few words, but she was still able to recite an extended bible verse at age 114.

Donald Trump's election victory on Wednesday sparked a palpable sense of dismay among the climate community, with two key architects of the landmark Paris Agreement warning that the result will stall global efforts to protect the environment. The 78-year-old, who has called the climate crisis "one of the great scams," has pledged to ramp-up fossil fuel production, pare back outgoing President Joe Biden's emissions-limiting regulations and pull the country out of the Paris climate accord — again. The 2015 Paris Agreement is a critically important framework designed to reduce planet-heating greenhouse gas emissions. Laurence Tubiana, a key architect of the Paris Agreement, said Trump's election victory "is a setback for global climate action, but the Paris Agreement has proven resilient and is stronger than any single country's policies." Tubiana, a French economist and diplomat who now serves as CEO of the European Climate Foundation, said the context today is "very different" to Trump's first election victory in 2016.

"The entire Home Depot family is deeply saddened by the death of our co-founder Bernie Marcus," the company said. Mitt Romney won more than 80% in Forsyth in 2012, but Trump won just two-thirds of the vote there eight years later. In 2020, Joe Biden won this county by only 4 points over Trump, while Hillary Clinton carried it by 13 points in 2016. While Trump won it by 3 points in 2016, Biden won Maricopa by 2 points four years later. On the last day of a brutal, wild and tightly contested campaign, former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris blitzed voters Monday with their final pleas for turnout. Harris and Trump both put their emphasis Monday on Pennsylvania, suggesting they still believe "Keystone State" is more than just a nickname. CNN —Several non-credible bomb threats that briefly disrupted voting at two Georgia polling places originated from Russia, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger told reporters Tuesday. “Anything that can get us to fight amongst ourselves - they can count that as a victory.”Raffensperger, a Republican, did not elaborate on how exactly state officials determined the bomb threats came from Russia. The non-credible threats caused the temporary closure of polling places at the Etris Community Center and Gullatt Elementary in Union City, just outside of Atlanta, according to Fulton County Police. An officer told him and other voters they couldn’t enter the site to vote because of a bomb threat. “They had to remove all the workers, they couldn’t let anyone in until they assessed the threats,” said Osborne.
