CNN —Basketball Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo – known for his shot-blocking and famed finger wave after denying opponents at the hoop – died Monday from brain cancer aged 58, according to the NBA. Dikembe Mutombo wags his finger during a game in Atlanta in 1998. In 1997, Mutombo established the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation with a mission to improve education and quality of life in his native DRC. A Colorado jury on Monday rejected an insanity defense and convicted the man who gunned down 10 people at a Boulder supermarket three years ago of murder. Ahmad Alissa, 25, was found guilty on all 55 charges, including 10 counts of first-degree murder, in the March 22, 2021, assault at King Soopers. Alissa remained seated as the verdicts were read and didn’t appear to show any demonstrative reaction. Responding Boulder Police Officer Eric Talley, 51, was the first law enforcement agent to arrive at the King Soopers when he was killed. Biles said in a press release that she is “so excited” and described the tour as “a victory lap around the US.”“It’s more of a celebration tour,” Biles told CNN’s Coy Wire ahead of the tour’s upcoming fourth show in San Jose on Saturday. Biles and co. visited Los Angeles on Friday, with the next leg of the tour scheduled to take place in San Jose on Saturday. This is the second Gold Over America Tour that Biles has led.
