One advertisement — viewed more than 900,000 times on Facebook and Instagram since Oct. 28 — depicts Trump winning in the Polymarket odds, according to the Meta Ad Library. A separate sponsored campaign from the right-wing social media personality Shaneyy Richh included nine advertisements promoting Polymarket forecasts. Based on user bets, Polymarket says Trump’s odds of winning are roughly 65.5% and Harris’s odds of winning are 34.5% as of Oct. 31. Montana Republican Senate candidate Tim Sheehy struggled in a new interview to give a clear explanation about the circumstances surrounding an incident in a national park in 2015 that led to him being treated for a gunshot wound and receiving a fine. All accounts agree that, as first reported by the Washington Post this spring, Sheehy went to the hospital after his gun went off in Glacier National Park in 2015 (firing a weapon is illegal in a national park). The ranger said Sheehy told him he had accidentally shot himself in the arm, and Sheehy then went to the hospital for treatment. He was given a $525 ticket for the gun going off at Glacier National Park and paid it, he told the Post in April, to avoid an investigation into his unit.
