Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has accused Russian lawmakers from neighboring regions of attempting to commission his assassination, and threatened them with a “blood feud” unless they prove otherwise, state news agency TASS reported. TASS cited Chechen-language comments by Kadyrov, a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, to a meeting of Chechen security officials. In Chechnya, blood feuds are a traditional custom of extracting revenge by killing an enemy or his male relatives. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ramzan Kadyrov visit a special forces training center in Chechnya. Putin has given Kadyrov wide latitude to run Chechnya as his personal fiefdom in return for maintaining stability in the region.

CNN —Sean “Diddy” Combs has spent his three weeks in jail speaking with his defense attorneys, preparing for his case and receiving visiting from his family, a source close to the music producer told CNN. In a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian, Combs’ attorneys said on Wednesday that they intend to request a trial date in April or May 2025. Following the release of the video, Combs apologized. The motion filed by Combs’ attorneys also alleges that authorities alerted the media about the searches in March of his homes in Los Angeles and Miami. Combs’ attorneys said they want the judge to order the government to immediately produce the materials seized over six months ago.

Lawyers for Sean "Diddy" Combs condemned government "leaks" relating to his sex-trafficking case. He seeks "a hearing and other remedies" from what he calls prejudicial leaks by DHS agents. Combs attorneys Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos made the allegations in the filing to the federal judge in Manhattan now assigned to the case. Agents deployed "military-style armored vehicles, with scores of heavily armed agents in full combat gear," according to the Combs filing. Wednesday's letter also alerts the judge that the parties intend to discuss on Thursday what federal prosecutors called the "voluminous" evidence in the case.
