July 6 (Reuters) - New Zealand's Vista Group International Ltd (VGL.NZ) on Thursday disclosed plans to reduce 6%-8% of its global workforce and streamline operations in an effort to turn cashflow positive a year earlier than targeted. Shares of Vista rose 4.7% to NZ$1.77 by 1129 GMT, marking its highest level since September 2022. "This updated, more stable, development program should result in a modest reduction in the total spend over time and a lower cash consumption in the near term," the company said. It now expects total capital expenditure to be about NZ$20 million ($12.36 million) per year ongoing. The restructuring and transformation program will be completed by the end of 2023, the company said.

NEW YORK, June 26 (Reuters) - Software company Enfusion Inc (ENFN.N) is attracting takeover interest from private equity firms and strategic buyers, several people familiar with the matter said. Enfusion's management has been approached in recent months by Francisco Partners, Vista Equity Partners and investment firm Irenic Capital Management, said the sources who asked not to be identified because the talks are private. The company has experienced turbulence in the executive ranks, with its chief executive officer and chief financial officer resigning just months apart from one another last year. The name of the private equity partner could not be learned. Irenic, which was co-founded by Elliott Management veteran Adam Katz and former Indaba Capital partner Andy Dodge, recently worked with private equity giant Apollo Global Management to buy industrial parts manufacturer Arconic.

IBM said it will finance the transaction with cash on hand and expects the deal to close in the latter half of 2023. IBM cut about 3,900 jobs early this year and reported under 1% year-over-year increase in revenue in the March quarter. Founded in 2007, Seattle-based Apptio helps companies manage and understand their spending on cloud services and offers functionalities such as IT budgeting, forecasting and financial analyses. Private equity firm Vista Equity Partners agreed to pay about $2 billion for Apptio in 2018, which was over double its market cap at the time.

In July 1973, the Haitian activist Viter Juste moved his family and his belongings in a U-Haul truck from Bushwick, Brooklyn, to a neighborhood in Miami-Dade County known as one of the earliest settlements in the area. Mr. Juste’s move — about a decade after he relocated to the United States — was the catalyst for a change in the neighborhood then known as Buena Vista. Thousands of others later migrated from Haiti and created a new community that Mr. Juste is credited for naming Little Haiti. Little Haiti’s proximity to the hippest restaurants, bars, shops and clubs in Miami is enticing for developers. And as much of Miami-Dade County endures torrents brought on by climate change, the neighborhood’s elevation — about 10 feet above sea level and in an area of minimal flood hazards — is particularly attractive.
